Teaching Practice: Lesson Plan Structure
The table under each heading will extend as you fill it with information.

They lastly be able to Critically discuss their views on how the resolutions of the Berlin
Conference still affects Africa even today.

sources (written or drawn) that relate to this

Furthermore, they must be able to analyse
those sources and be able to answer questions
that relate to them

Learners must be able to appreciate their history and the history of other African people
Equally so they must also be able to show awareness to the history of Africa.

1. INTRODUCTION
Then learners will be asked to summarise the last lesson that they had the day before. Then
learners will be asked to summarise the last lesson that they had the day before. After that the
teacher will write two terms on the chalkboard and ask the learners to please. Define them in
their own knowledge.
e.g. Missionaries - A missionary is a member of a religious group sent into an area to promote
their faith or perform ministries of service, such as education.

Step 3: : At this point the teacher will group learners into groups of 10, they will be given only 5
Minutes to discuss these topics and they will all be expected to come forward and make a 3
Minute’s presentation on what they have understood so far on the topic covered above.
3. CONSOLIDATION/LESSON CONCLUSION
Summarise the lesson.
Allow learners to ask questions if they do have questions.
Hand out the leaner’s homework activity and provide instructions on what must be done
and when to return.

Yes, I did.
Unexpected Questions: Students surprised me with questions I hadn't anticipated. It
was a great opportunity to showcase my depth of knowledge and ability to think on my
feet.
Surprising Reactions: I got a range of reactions from students. They were more excited,
than I anticipated. Skilfully navigated these reactions with patience and understanding
led to productive discussions.
