frequently learn how to be mean online. The Social Learning Theory says that
people learn from and imitate the actions of others by observing them. In the
context of cyberbullying, young people may see or witness similar dangerous
conduct online, whether they come from peers or from negative role models.
So, they might use cyberbullying as a way to gain power or deal with
problems they suppose they have, which would keep the circle of detriment
going.
Sexual Abuse
Sexual Abuse can be occur in Social Learning Theory because it shows how
people can learn bad sexual behavior by watching others. In this situation,
young people may be exposed to explicit or harmful sexual content online, in
the media, or even in peer conversations. Such exposure can make them less
sensitive to the seriousness of sexual abuse and normalize harmful attitudes
and behaviors. As a result, they may act the same way, which can lead to
sexual misbehavior.
