National Examanation, aren’t we?Are you well prepared for it? Well, to be honest, I just have
some difficulties in preparing for it, especially in science. There are extra lessons in my school and
I take them all. But, I feel that don’t help. I’m still confused in solving mathematic problems. I’m
just worried that I fail the national examanation. Do you have any suggestion for me?

Assalamu alaikum,
Hi Firman, How are you? I wish you are in healthy and happy condition.
It’s been a long time since we didn’t meet. Since 4 years ago exactly, when my family and
I decided to move to Bandar Lampung. I never heard about you again. I hope you always fine
there.
In this month, my family is planning to go back to Semarang to visit my grandmother. I
wish this could be a chance for me to spend time in anmy hometown and to keep in touch with you,
my little friends that I really miss.
But I think God has another plan. I just got the news from my school that I will have a
semester exam on the second week of this month. With a heavy heart I think our holiday should be
postponed until next time.

I have several friends. But the best among them is Olga. She is younger
thanme. Olga is very funny and interesting person. With Olga, you can talk on various
topics.
I met Olga met this summer when I was resting in the camp, she was sharing
the room with me. When I saw her for the first time I did not like. After I talked to her,
I found out she was my soul mate. We like the same music and we also and we also do
the same sport. I really want to see her again, but I can’t because she lives far away
from me. But she and I chat on the internet.
I am interested in your plans for the weekend. Where are you going to spend it?
Who with? What are you going to do? Tell me more about your
plans. I must go now, my mother is waiting for me.
Dear Betty,
I’m writing to you concerning of my last day in Jogya. I just got back from
Borobudur, the wondeful temple I’ve ever seen. The weather is fine. We are now
staying in a hotel. It is not far from Malioboro. We are treated well here. It has many
excellent staffs who serve the customers. We plan to go around Malioboro after the
children take a short nap. We want to enjoy having “lesehan” there. It is a kind of a
restaurant but we sit on the ground.
Many kinds of local handicraft are sold along Malioboro street. Both domestic
and foreign tourists are interested in them.I want to buy some as souvenirs.
Don’t worry, it is also buy you the most interesting one.

I recently reeived a letter from Mr. Robinson, a valued customer of ours. He purchased
an Italian coffee table and four French dining room chairs from us which your
company delivered to his residence.
He has written a complaint that the purchase-es arrived damaged. We pride ourselves
in the qaulity of our product and would like an explanation as to how this mishap
occured. Even though the items are insured, our reputation is at stake.
I would be most grateful if you would reply as soon as possible so that this matter can
be resolved to everyone’s satisfaction.

The following text is for number 20 – 25.
I write this letter to propose some consideration to our workers. It is related to the baverage and
drinks. The workers in the project field work almost 18 hours everyday. Eventhough, they are well-
paid but the fact is that they need adequate foods and drinks to support their energy. The condition
now is the workers get breakfast, lunch, and dinner in the rice boxes. So, that they get three rice
boxes a day. However, those are not enough, I would like to propose that there is a foods and drinks
spot. If it is possible. It will be better if there is a kitchen and stand-y chef with the team.
Remembering that this is a very big project, we need to guarantee and are make sure that our
workers are served well so that they also give us their best work. On behalf of the project field
workers, I would be glad for hearing the decision that you will take for his matter.
