𝐈𝐧𝐭𝐫𝐨𝐝𝐮𝐜𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧: The focus of our study this week is on God’s glory, revealed through His people to
lighten this sin-darkened world. Changed by grace, transformed by love, filled with the Holy Spirit,
God’s last-day church gives His final appeal to this world, and tens of thousands hear and respond to
the call. Thus, “this gospel of the kingdom will be preached in all the world as a witness to all the
nations, and then the end will come” (𝑀𝑎𝑡𝑡. 24:14, 𝑁𝐾𝐽𝑉).

• Paul wrote to church members in Thessalonica about the Second Coming. Paul told the Christians to
“watch and keep your minds awake to what is happening”.
• Paul shared important information regarding the final crisis (1 Thessalonians 5:1-6 NIV):
(1) We know enough about dates and events (v. 1)
(2) The crisis will come unexpectedly (v. 2-3)
(3) We will not be surprised because we are “children of light” (v. 4-5)
(4) We should be alert (v. 6)
• How can we be alert? As Jesus said, we can only be alert if we’re prepared through prayer (Matthew
26:40-41).

• God’s final message to His people warns them to reject the false teachings of spiritual Babylon.
• The two great errors are the immortality of the soul and Sunday sacredness.
• If the people will stick to the Bible they will not be deceived in the final crisis, particularly regarding
the Sabbath.
• Satan introduced many lies as the base of the Catholic and Orthodox doctrine even before the Roman
Empire fell. The Reformation put the focus back in the Bible, but some of those lies were left
untouched. In the 19th Century, spiritualism came into play.
• Protestantism will eventually join Catholicism and Spiritualism to gain everyone’s favor (Revelation
16:13-14). A union based on common lies.

• In the end times, we will continue the work of these Christians. We will announce many Bible truths
that other Christians have forgotten and no longer know anything about. One of these Bible truths is the
Sabbath.
• We will be prepared to preach the final message thanks to prayer and Bible study. But that’s not
enough. We need the power that comes from heaven (Revelation 18:1).
• The Holy Spirit gives this power.
• The people who will preach the last message have the following characteristics:
(1) They are united in Christ through prayer
(2) The Bible is their only creed
(3) The Holy Spirit is their only source of strength
𝐖𝐞𝐝𝐧𝐞𝐬𝐝𝐚𝐲: 𝐆𝐨𝐝’𝐬 𝐆𝐥𝐨𝐫𝐲 𝐅𝐢𝐥𝐥𝐬 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐄𝐚𝐫𝐭𝐡
• God’s glory is His character.
• Revealing His love in our personal lives reveals His glory, His character, to the world.
• There is no glory for us in our good works, or our righteousness, or our goodness.
• “What is justification by faith?
• It is the work of God in laying the glory of man in the dust, and doing for man that which it is not in
his power to do for himself.”—Testimonies to Ministers and Gospel Workers, p. 456.
• No glory for ourselves but, yes, glory to God instead.

𝐓𝐡𝐮𝐫𝐬𝐝𝐚𝐲: 𝐓𝐡𝐞 𝐋𝐚𝐦𝐛, 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐒𝐥𝐚𝐢𝐧 𝐋𝐚𝐦𝐛

• Who is the Lamb, the Slain Lamb? He is Jesus Christ crucified.
• Here is the heart and soul, not only of all the Bible but also of the book of Revelation and of the three
angels’ messages.
• We can’t do the work God asks us to do if we don’t make the Lamb the most important part of our
message.
• We must make this Bible truth the most important part of our teachings and of our work for God.
• We also must make this Bible truth the most important part of our sermons, articles, prayers, songs,
Bible studies, and everything we do.

Our lesson for this week teaches us the two most important things in life: 𝑘𝑛𝑜𝑤𝑖𝑛𝑔 𝐽𝑒𝑠𝑢𝑠 and ℎ𝑒𝑙𝑝𝑖𝑛𝑔
𝑜𝑡ℎ𝑒𝑟𝑠 𝑡𝑜 𝑘𝑛𝑜𝑤 𝐻𝑖𝑚. Stated another way, the two most important things in life are being ready for the
coming of Jesus and helping others to be ready when He comes. The closer we draw to Christ, the more
we reveal His glory to the world. To reflect God’s glory is to be filled with Christ’s love, grace, and
power. It is to live for the glory of His name and the honor of His kingdom.
