What is quantitative research?

 Quantitative Research is an objective, systematic, empirical investigation of

observable phenomena through the use og computational techniques (Faltado,
Bombita, Boholano, & Pogoy, 2016).

relationship among variable”(Creswell, 2009). These variables are measurable

1. LARGE SAMPLE SIZE
To obtain more meaningful statistical result, the data must come from a large
sample size.

2. CLEARLY DEFINED RESEARCHED QUESTIONS

In qualitative research, there are specific variables being studied. Thus, the
researchers know in advance what they are looking for.

3. NUMERICAL DATA
Data is numerical, which makes presentation through graphs, charts, and
tables possible and for better conveyance and interpretation.

4. FASTER DATA ANALYSIS

The use of a statistical tools give way for a less time-consuming data
analysis.

5. STRUCTURED RESEARCH INSTRUMENT

The data gathered using standardized instruments such as questionnaires.
This is to gather measurable characteristics from the population of the study.

6. GENERALIZED IDEA
 Data is taken from a sample can be applied to the population if sampling is
done accordingly.

The Quantitative method can be repeated to verifying findings enhancing its
validity, free from false or immature conclusions.

11. FUTURE OUTCOME

The result of some quantitative studies can be used to predict future
outcomes with the use of complex mathematical equations and with the aid of
computers.
