This guide is written for system administrators who will install Ross ERP and has to assist Ross
mobile users.
Prerequisites
The audience should have an understanding of ERP configuration.

User Parameters
Users with security status set to ‘A’, for example, the System Manager, can maintain all user
parameters. Users with security status that is not ‘A’ can only maintain user parameters that are
user-specific.
Scan UPCs Indicates if the user enters product information on orders by scanning
UPC codes or by selecting Product Codes from a list of products.
Typically, a delivery person will scan UPC codes.
Route Based Indicates if the user must select a route to identify the customer
addresses available to them in Ross Mobile. Typically, a delivery person
is route-based and a salesperson is not.
Salesperson Code Salesperson code assigned to the selected user. You can modify the
Salesperson code only if the Route Based flag is set to N.
Age By Date Indicates if the AR aging should be done by due date or transaction
date.
Transactions to Include Indicates if the AR aging should include all transaction types, only
debit transactions or only credit transactions.
Interval Type Indicates if the AR aging intervals should be based on months or days.
If the aging interval is based on days, indicate the interval length in
days in the Period Length column.
Period Length (Days) If the Interval Type is days, indicate the number of days for each aging
interval. By default, the Period Length is displayed as 30. You can
modify the value to any number from 1 to 99.
Max Trans Indicate the maximum number of transactions that will be returned
and displayed in one service call. The higher the number of
transactions, the longer it takes to retrieve the data.
Company Parameters
The Ross Mobile Company Specific Parameters grid displays only for users with security status
set to A. All companies that you are authorized to view are displayed.
The Ross Mobile Company Specific Parameters grid displays the following columns:
Order Ahead Days Number of days in advance that an order can be placed when using
the sales order entry function in Ross Mobile. By default, the column
displays 2 days. You can specify the days from 0 to 999.
Credits Allowed Indicates if users are allowed to enter credits on sales orders in the
Ross Mobile application. Enter Y if you want to allow users to enter
credits on sales orders. When users enter credits, credit notes are
created along with the sales orders.
The column defaults to N.
1. Select the required line, exit forward to view Ross Mobile Division Specific Parameters for
the selected Company.
2. The Ross Mobile Division Specific Parameters grid displays the following columns for
active divisions:

Add Order Hold Status Enter the hold code or select from the List of Values to hold the order
after the order is added.
Add Order Hold Description Description of the hold code that you specified in Add Order Hold
Status column.
Modify Order Hold Status Enter the hold code or select from the List of Values to hold the order
after the order is modified.
Modify Order Hold Description of the hold code that you specified in Modify Order Hold
Description Status column.
After logging into the Ross Mobile application, a route-based user can view a list of route IDs.
The user must select a route ID to determine the list of customer addresses available for
customer inquiries and entering sales orders, until a new route ID is selected.
Route IDs are unique within each company, but can contain customer addresses from multiple
divisions. Additionally, a customer address can be linked to more than one route ID.
Menu Path: Master > Ross Mobile > Route IDs and Addresses
2. Click Insert Record icon to add a Route ID with the related Description and the Status
Flag. When you create a route, the default status is displayed as A, which means active.You
can change it to I, which means Inactive.
3. Exit forward to view the Route IDs grid for the new route with the following columns:
Stop Sequence Stop Sequences are unique within each route. It is recommended that
you use discontinuous stop sequences so that a new stop sequence
can be easily inserted. To assist with this, the system defaults stop
sequences in increments of 10. However, you are allowed to change
the sequences.
Customer Number Enter the Customer Number in the specified division or select using
the List of Values.
Address Code Enter an active Address Code that belongs to the selected customer or
select from the List of Values.
Address The address information is displayed after you select the Address
Code.
4. Double-click on a record to modify the Description and Status Flag and to access the
linked addresses for that route.
You can modify the linked addresses for a particular stop sequence and for a particular
route by changing the combination of the Division, Customer Number and Address
Code.
5. Click the Delete Record icon to delete a specific route ID or a specific address within a
route. If you delete a route ID that has linked addresses, both the route ID and the
corresponding linked addresses will be deleted.
Menu Path: Master > Ross Mobile > Product UPC Codes
Product All products that are active, warehoused, and sales permitted products
that are available for Ross Mobile users are displayed by default. Press
F2 to select the required products using the Selection Criteria window.
