 Dementia is a common appear disease from the elderly. The range around 65 or
above will have this problem. Elderly can be not most worry about self-body change.
There is some solution for the cognitive training, music reminiscent therapy, past
history to make them to remember the memories. patient will appear with a body
mental impairment. It will affect the long-term problem. They are losing care The
government must provide integrated care to assist patient rehabilitation. I am happy
studied from Yao Memorial Methodist Social Service of Cognitive Training Center for
the Elderly at five days. Overall, at five days, I am most happy and good learning for
a few days. My feeling is reluctant, and elderly is very cute. through this time to
attend placement, thank for school give opportunity study to mind.

The center has ten clients to service at 10 to four o’clock. During this time,
personal care worker will give alcohol to wash the hand, when they are removing the
facial mask. Strengthen hand hygiene. They will accept individual training such as
music reminiscent, double pair training, drawing, doing exercise (drawstring) (ride a
bicycle). after individual training, they will do group activity.

Center has a leaflet to introduce the service. The service including build up four
cognitive memories, first one is about early assessment, doing training, accept day
care service and targeting behavioral and psychological symptoms. Service features
have professional team including doctor, nurse, physical therapist, occupational and
speech therapist, social worker.
They will use evidence- based to intervention who suffer from dementia. Basic
needs for the elderly. They will provide detail assessment and referrals the cases,
cognitive training, build up individual intervention, hope the patient can get
professional care service. Social worker will come to client home to look and care
home situation, such as number of debris, good lightening or bad, find out the
problem for their safety

Some cognitive trainings are helping to improve their cognitive ability. The first
one case was become a taxi driver, he had a family of daughters and son. Perhaps is
that he is smart, so the MCI is higher marks

Above this problem, the Elderly Health service has some information for readers
and caregivers. if they are suffering from dementia early, we will early intervention
and assessment. The first management is mentioned in dementia. The second is
medication. The advantage is that memory can be improved and relieved. I think the
government is done very well; the management is helpful. Social work will be caring
for dementia older people to attend health talks and support groups. They will acquire
caring skills through sharing and alleviating anxiety and stress. Dementia older can be
built up through healthy lifestyles such as being physically active, and not smoking,
and alcohol. And a balanced diet. In integrated care, I find out some information on
the internet. The reason is the placement and class lectures are difficult to understand
problems my way.

The second placement can help understand more about dementia disease. From
the day center, the patients are smart and able fluently to talk. They are not barriers to
communication. They have promoted this activity for the elderly and their relatives to
know this topic. The aim is to improve the public’s awareness of cognitive
impairment, correct misconceptions, and eliminate them. The action is encouraged the
public caring patient in action and support to achieve this purpose. The social welfare
department introduces cognitive disorder to a participant and promotes the care of the
patient with cognitive disorders. The non-pharmacological treatment provides
meaningful activities and training for patients. There has reminiscent therapy to
review their past. One patient cognitive are not very well, but she can draw color. Bad
cognitive ability such as elephant changes chicken, her mind only has chicken, ask her
more time she talk to you with same word. She can not listen
our said.
When family take patient to the center, we will make an initial assessment. If in the
beginning she performed bad, after accept center service the performance is good , we
will talk to family members. Center service is work and can help elderly to
rehabilitation.

Elder have behavioral and physical symptoms of dementia. Some elder will
attend center activity every morning. A center service car will be taken them come
The few days study for the elderly case, they are suffering from between mild and
moderate. I monitor three cases for four days, I found they are smart and having habit
such as play sparrow, favorite classic song such as Leslie Cheung Kwok Wing, Anita
Mui Yim Fong. Centre is always play classic song in YouTube, keep memory for the
good thing. Health Worker will be play music with them such as drum and sand
hammer. The communication is very good and fluently to speck.
