Social Media (Facebook, Instagram, or Twitter) Project – Cellular Organelles

How do organelles in eukaryotic cells work together to allow a cell to survive?
You will be creating a “Facebook, Instagram, or Twitter” page for your selected organelle. This
project is intended to see how well you know your organelle. Make it creative and your own!! Extra
Credit will be given to those that go above and beyond the expectations.
MS-LS1-2. Develop and use a model to describe the function of a cell as a whole and ways parts of
cells contribute to the function

● At least 3 different posts by FRIENDS of your organelle (i.e. other organelles)
▪ Two of these posts must have some type of comment/response from YOUR organelle
▪ Bonus if you continue a “conversation” between your organelle and another organelle
● You can add “likes” to your comments/posts

Friends area

other pictures
● BE CREATIVE!!!

Focus:
The focus of your organelle should be on HOW it supports the endomembrane system. All
posts/comments/info should be related to the endomembrane system even if your organelle is not a direct
part of the endomembrane system.

Remember, everything in the cell is connected and it has three main jobs:
1. Energy production
2. Protein production
3. Reproduction of the cell
