Framework ACILA
Lhokseumawe Tour
ACILA (Acehnese Culture and Indonesian Language Activities)
ACILA is a ten-day program for foreign students from all over the world to learn
Indonesian language and Acehnese culture in State Polytechnic of Lhokseumawe.
Learning Indonesian language in a cozy classroom and out of class such as visiting
historical sites and tourism spot in Lhokseumawe and its neighbourhood
Foreign students learn Acehnese traditional dances such as the famous Saman,
Ratoeh Jaroe, Ranup Lam Puan; musical instruments, cooking Acehnese cuisine.
The top-of-the-line outing program aims to give experience to the foreign students
and immerse themselves into local people life and learn the local culture for one
day and one night. Foreign students are involved in picking coffee beans at coffee
farm, sorting and processing at coffee factory.
Another outing program offered is the sightseeing around the famous lake in Aceh,
Lut Tawar, and its surrounding such as Putri Pukes and Loyang Koro caves.
