1. What is the purpose of the published article?

The purpose of the article is to help and support the allied health workers, including
public health workers, psychologists, psychiatrists, and other medicine-related workers, to
understand and explain the connection between the social, biological, and psychological
factors. Then, improve the relationship between the clinicians and their clients and use
multidisciplinary approach for better client assistance. Lastly, show the potential of
improving the client’s satisfaction and better care for their physical and psychological health.

2. What is the main point of the article?

The central idea of the article is about the significant role of social, biological, and
psychological factors in a person’s health and well-being. Even if a person lives healthily,
they might still experience mental disorders if their biopsychological balance is off. The
biopsychological model can be used as a guide for mental health professionals during the
screening of their patients. The model has seen a potential to lower repeat visits, fewer
hospital admissions, and improve the clinician-patient relationship.

3. How will you relate the content of the article to your life? (Can be based on your personal
experience or observations.)

I observe that if one of these components is in unsatisfactory condition, other factors

might be affected too, and I could relate the article to my personal life. As someone who is
not in a good family situation and has a not-so-good relationship with my parents, it
significantly affected my psychological and biological well-being. My self-esteem lowered, my
attitude towards them changed, and it became difficult for me to socialize and trust new
people. It also made me self-conscious and have an unhealthy lifestyle. With further research
and studies regarding the biopsychological model, it could significantly help people,
specifically people in multidisciplinary teams.
