BUILDINGS
NU Nazareth School. This is the place where I
study Architecture. The Henry Sy Hall
showcases a design similar to other National
University buildings. It is a combination of the
NU colors: gold, blue, and white. Its an 8-floor
building with a court at the top. The name
and logo of the building is evident especially
at night.

National University - Manila. The NU Main
Campus is located at Jhocson Street. Though
I am not entirely familiar with the building
since the Architecture students are placed in
another campus, the familiarity of the colors.

building known to many.

The One Santo Tomas. This is a high-rise
mixed use building. It is known to many
people since it has a commercial space on
the first few floors and units to cater students
and reviewees. It can be seen through the
window of my dorm. It is also a marker for me
when I commute indicating that I am already
near my place.

TRANSPORT
The One Food Court. It is a combination of
several food stores, but the most popular
shop, in my opinion, is Starbucks. Students
from different schools such as UST, NU, and
FEU come to this place to hangout, eat
snacks, or meet in general.

Archdiocesan Shrine of Saint Anthony of
Padua. I usually pass this place going to
Legarda. It is situated on a corner lot, and
serves as a place of worship to the residents
and students around it. It is near several fast
food chains such as Mcdonald’s, Jollibee, and
Chowking.

Sta. Teresita Court. It was originally an open
court in cement floor finish, but is now
renovated as a covered court in wood
parquet finish. Many NU students come to
this basketball court to practice. Some of my
volleyball trainings are conducted here as
well.

STREETS
Earnshaw Street. My dormitory is located in
this street. It is mostly used as an alternative
route going to Legarda and Recto. Private
cars usually pass here in the day, but it is filled
with trucks and buses in the night.

Cayco Street. NU Nazareth School is lcoated
in this street. Balic-balic jeepneys pass this
way, so whenever I’m running late, I ride a
jeep from Earnshaw cor. Cayco to lessen my
travel time. It features several food shops and
many students are seen passing this way as
early as 6 AM and as late as 10 PM.

S. H. Loyola Street. This is a very busy street,
where many public vehicles pass. It has
various stores such as Gemzet (where I
usually buy food when I’m lazy to prepare
one), Kwadra Billiards, and other restaurants. I

Florida Bus Terminal. It is located in
Earnshaw cor. Lacson. It caters people
coming from provinces and is busy during
the afternoon and usually quiet in the dawn.

Victory Liner Terminal. This terminal is
located in Earnshaw Street. I don’t usually
pass this place, but I was told it functions the
same as Florida Bus Terminal.

LRT 2: Legarda Station. This is the main
transportation of students of National
University. It is located in a strategic way
nearby schools and places of business. Below
the station is a TODA for easier travel.

LANDSCAPE
UST Open Field. This is where most of the
events of UST occur. Though the site itself has
limitations on visitors, its land area of
greenery is truly spectacular especially in
Manila.

Jhocson Memorial Statue. It is a small piece
of greenery just in front of NU Manila campus.
It serves as a marker for students and a place
of gathering in a way.

Lacson Streetscape. It is a linear landscape
along lacson (UST side). It serves as a buffer
zone and a division among the lanes. It is a
sight regardless of the traffic occurring
almost all the time in this avenue.
