“Success is the sum of small efforts, repeated day in and day out”
- Robert Collier

The entrepreneurship development cell strives to foster an entrepreneurial spirit among the
students. We want to change how society views entrepreneurship. Entrepreneurship is the
key to encouraging innovation in India and supporting the ideals associated with
entrepreneurship will lead to developing young people's aptitude to its maximum potential.
In the future, we want young people to see starting their own businesses as a feasible career.
Faculty advisor : Dr. R B Prasad , Assistant Professor , Mechanical Engineering Dept.

To foster the spirit of entrepreneurship and the overall development of students , the society
conducts several events throughout the year.
These events are,
"Startup-week" , which was held between 16th to 18th December’22. It lasted for three days
and included a variety of activities for students of all domains, skills, and interests. Students
participated in Crack the Clue, Hard Headed Hustle, Market Kshetra, and Expert Talk.
Startup-week was a huge success. It helped students develop numerous skills, including
leadership, teamwork, communication, problem-solving, and the capacity to persuade others.

The purpose of the competition Crack the Clue was to raise participants' mental aptitude in
order to win each of the three pen-and-paper rounds, each of which presented its own set of
problems and difficulties. The competition attracted more than 130 teams in total. Each team
displayed tremendous fervor, and as a result of their talent and effort, the top 16 teams were
picked for further rounds.

The event, Hard Headed Hustle, which also served as a showcase for the contestants' pitching
abilities, gave freshmen a chance to explore new startup ideas. Abstract entries were used in
the preliminary round of this competition to show the strength and originality of the team's
concept. We received more than 30 responses to the abstract submissions, and more than
20 teams qualified for the next stage. In the second round, teams demonstrated their
presentation skills, and the three best business ideas were shortlisted as winners.
The other event, Market Kshetra, gave a chance to students to improve their marketing skills.
It gave them a chance to come up with original product advertisements. This competition is
special since the contestant must immediately promote the product on spot. It consisted of two
rounds, one of which was a pen-and-paper round with general aptitude questions and the other
of which was a presentation to a panel. A total of more than 30 teams took part in this event.

Our next and what we believe is a very special event, which every Malaviyan can hold close
to their hearts is the Expert Talk, the alumni of the university, Mr. Akshay Srivastava and
Mr. Mukesh Singh Chauhan, Founder and Co-Founder of LCB fertilizers Pvt. Ltd.,
respectively, provided support and motivation with their words. They conducted an extremely
instructive session for students during which they talked with the freshmen about their
insightful concepts and experiences. They also discussed the expansion of the entrepreneurial
culture in India, which provided the students with fresh insights into the field.

All of the events mentioned above took place offline, but we also planned several online
competitions like Tag X and Mannequin Challenge, for which we got a lot of positive
feedback. Every post we made got more than 300 likes and 100 comments. Both online and
offline events were a massive success , making start-up week a massive success.

It was a super-fun and scholastic event; each participant has shown and equal amount of avidity
and thrill and made the “startup-week” a great experience for all of us.

Fresher's Talk is another significant event that Team E-Cell organizes where we give
opportunities to our freshmen to gain an understanding of the world of Malaviyans. Fresher's
Talk is a tradition that has been passed down year after year and helps freshers feel at home in
this new environment where they create goals and dreams all while striving for the highest
grades and trying to gain a lifetime full of experiences under the direction of their teachers and
seniors.

Fresher's Talk took place in February from February 11 to February 15, 2023. Many freshers
showed up and they had fun with team E-Cell, they got an opportunity to share their views
and experiences with us, and we wholeheartedly heard their new points of view about our
college.

On May 14, 2023, the Fresher's Talk video was aired on YouTube and received over 2000
views and 200 likes. Giving first-year students the chance to inspire, learn and grow further.

Team E-CELL had a lot of fun and learning experiences while conducting these events and
hopes that these events had a significant impact on the students and helped them realize that
while entrepreneurship is undoubtedly difficult and requires a variety of traits and abilities to
succeed, anyone can do it with the right motivation and guidance.
