Ring Groups

What is a Ring Group?
● A Ring Group is a 'virtual' extension that rings
a group of phones/extensions simultaneously.

● Stops when any of them is picked up.

● This is a simpler version of Queues for those


that don't need the extra functionality of it.

● Can be used to dial all the extensions of an


office in case of emergency
Creating a Ring Group - General
● 3CX Management Console > Ring Groups > Add Ring Group

● Configure Virtual Extension number and Name for the Ring Group

● Select Ring Strategy


○ Prioritized Hunt, Ring All or Paging (Requires setting up paging
code in Dial Code Settings)

● Configure Ring Time


Creating a Ring Group – Ring Group Members
● Select Extensions that will be part of the Ring Group

● Click Add Button to move to Members list

● Configure priority in case of Prioritized Hunt (top to bottom)


Creating a Ring Group – Destination if No Answer
● End Call ● Connect to Digital Receptionist

● Connect to extension ● Voicemail box for Extension

● Connect to Queue / Ring Group ● Forward to Outside Number
