1. How do Rizalista groups view Jose Rizal and other national heroes?
 Some Rizalistas viewed him as Jesus Christ. Some regarded Jose as the mesiah of happiness and a good noble man. Some
considered him as God while some saw him as the spiritual guide. Jose is believed to be still alive by some sects and that he will
relieve his followers from oppression and poverty.

2. What are the similarities between Jesus Christ and Rizal as seen by the millenarian groups?
 Both Jesus Christ and Jose Rizal were Asians. Both Jesus Christ and Jose Rizal were born into a country that was under colonial
rule. Both Jesus Christ and Jose Rizal paid no attention to human differences in status, education, race, etc. And believed in equal
and peaceful coexistence of all human beings.

3. Name some influential women in various Rizalista groups and explain their significant roles in their respective organizations.
 Candida Balantac-She was the founder of Adarnista and was known as “Inang Adarna”. “Maestra”, and “Espiritu” by her
followers. She taught them that Rizal was a god of the filipino people and he was a true god and true man.
 Reyna Yolanda Liban Manalo – She founded the only government-recognized foundation of Rizalistas called the Celyo Rizal. She
conceived of the country’s first human flag in 2007 and the first Philippine human map in 2008 in Luneta.
 Maria Bernarda Balitaan – She founded the Suprema de la Iglesia de Cuidad Mistica de Dios Inc. Which was an indigenous
movement established in 1873. She was termed as a saint by her followers along with Rizal.
