NeuroScan Imaging System

Purpose/Objective/Usage:

The NeuroScan Imaging System aims to provide detailed and accurate images of the brain to aid
in the diagnosis and treatment of various neurological conditions. It allows healthcare
professionals to visualize the brain's structures, identify abnormalities, and make informed
decisions regarding patient care.

Controls:

The device incorporates a unique interface that combines touch-sensitive screen controls,
physical buttons, and a joystick. The touch-sensitive screen serves as the primary control
interface, enabling users to navigate through the system's different imaging options, adjust
settings, and select specific brain regions for scanning. The physical buttons are strategically
placed around the screen, providing quick access to common functions such as zooming,
switching between imaging modes, and capturing images. The joystick, positioned for easy
reach, allows users to manipulate the scanner's position and angle during the scanning process.

Feedback Mechanism:

The NeuroScan Imaging System employs a multi-modal feedback mechanism to guide and
inform the user throughout the imaging process. It utilizes visual, auditory, and haptic feedback
to enhance the user experience and ensure accurate imaging results.

Visual Feedback: The device's interface displays real-time visual feedback on the touch-
sensitive screen. Users can view the progress of the scanning process, the positioning of the
scanner, and the quality of the acquired images. Visual cues, such as color-coded indicators, help
users assess the adequacy of the scan and ensure proper positioning.
Auditory Feedback: The system generates auditory feedback to complement the visual cues.
Users receive audio notifications and prompts to guide them through the imaging procedure. For
example, they may hear a distinct sound when the scanner is properly aligned or when an image
is successfully captured. Auditory feedback helps users confirm actions and provides an
additional layer of assurance during the scanning process.

Haptic Feedback: The NeuroScan Imaging System incorporates haptic feedback to provide
tactile sensations that aid in the user's interaction with the device. When users manipulate the
joystick or press physical buttons, they receive haptic feedback in the form of vibrations or subtle
tactile cues. This feedback helps users navigate the interface and provides confirmation that their
actions have been registered.
