IFS FOOD STANDARD VERSION 8 IS UPCOMING!!

Draft of IFS Food Standard Version 8 will be presented in April 2022 for feedbacks
of industry and stakeholders;

In June 2022, new checklist of Version 8 will be finalized and next steps will be
planned by IFS Management.

IFS Management declared that current version of IFS Food Standard (Version 7) is
going to be evaluated and revised and Version 8 will be published.

Why IFS Food Standard Version 7 was required to revise?

Updated Codex Alimentarius General principles of hygiene

New ISO 22003-2

Feedback from stakeholders

Upcoming changes in market

Revision of the scoring system, especially B scoring

Reassign some criteria to follow audit trail more closely

More consistent and precise in wording

New IFS Software is also on the way with new version;

 IFS Food Doctrine will be published with significantly reduced cross-

references to improve clarity, readability, and workability,

 IFS Digital Audit Manager will replace the auditXpressX™ software,

 Automatic fill-in option for most compulsory fields to simplify reporting process
for auditors will be included.
