GENERAL:

These devices are molded thermoplastic composite, intended to bind and/or

support single or multiple stranded units such as electric wires, cables, flexible
tubing, etc. One side of each band is notched so as to be secured in a ratchet
device at the opposite end when the bands are applied around the stranded units.

These devices are manufactured in different widths and lengths to accommodate

various bundle diameters.

Products designated USR have been investigated using requirements contained

in the Standard for Cable Management Systems – Cable Ties for Electrical
Installations, UL 62275, First Edition.

Products designated CNR have been investigated using requirements contained

in the Standard for Cable Management Systems – Cable Ties for Electrical
Installations, CSA C22.2 No. 62275-10.

CONDITIONS OF ACCEPTABILITY –

Use – For use only in (or with) complete equipment where the acceptability
of the combination is determined by UL LLC.

1. The end-use application shall be examined for correct alignment. The arrangement
shall be such as to prevent wires and/or cables from being cut during securement
and latching.

2. The end-use application shall also be examined to insure that the cable ties
maintain the wires and/or cables in place and do not cause undue compression
or tension.

3. The diameter of the wire bundles are to coincide with the limits established
for the individual cable tie.

4. These cable ties have been investigated for their constructional and mechanical
features only. No tests have been conducted to determine suitability for use
as electrical insulation.

5. Polymeric portions of Type 11 devices are molded from Recognized Component –

Plastics as indicated under Construction Details. The temperature rating of
such components is limited to the established RTI of the Recognized plastic.

6. Reference should be made to the end-product standards and most current guides
to the use of plastics (such as Subject 746) with regard to other requirements,
which should be considered in judging the suitability of these materials in
end-products.

7. The suitability for use when exposed to oil, chemicals, refrigerant, soap,
x-rays, ultraviolet light, etc. have not been determined by this investigation
unless otherwise indicated.

8. Type 11 devices covered by this Report are manufactured from Recognized

Component - plastics as indicated under Construction Details. There shall be
no change in material formulation, such as the addition of colorants, flame
retardants, etc. unless authorized by UL LLC.

9. The Type 11 devices are molded from compounds meeting a minimum V-2 flammability
rating. Flame tests were not conducted on the cable ties.
