What is Binance and why use it? • Binance is a cryptocurrency trading platform that is legit and easy to use. It has complete tools for charting and has a wide selection of coins to choose from. • Binance also acts as a cryptocurrency wallet with staking function (more on this later on) • Before proceeding, make sure that you are already registered on Binance and you have the Binance app downloaded on your device. Binance mobile • Here’s the home menu of the Binance app. As you can see, there are a lot of functionalities shown upfront on the screen. • This tutorial will focus more on how to buy using the P2P option, how to transfer the USDT from P2P to Fiat and Spot, and how to trade using USDT. What Is P2P? • P2P means peer-to-peer. You are going to buy USDT (Tether) from another person through Binance. • USDT is the main cryptocurrency used for trading in Binance. USDT is always priced near the value of 1USD. • Using the CREDIT or DEBIT card option to buy USDT hits you with fees, this is why most people prefer the P2P option. Buying USDT using P2P • Tap the Wallets option at the bottom of the screen and press P2P Trading (on the top of the screen). • Pressing on the Wallet option also shows you your equity value in your P2P (in BTC and in USD by default, you can change this in Settings) • This also allows you to browse the coins available on the platform and how much of each coin you currently have. Buying USDT using P2P • The screen on the right shows the P2P option. • On the top of the black section, you can see the BUY and SELL option. • The BUY option allows you to purchase USDT from other people so that you can start trading. • The SELL option is used when you want to liquidate the USDT you gained after selling your cryptocurrency/ies. Buying USDT using P2P • When buying USDT, check the name of the seller and make sure it is verified (check mark beside the name) • The limit shows you how much the minimum and maximum transaction is. In the example, Abra’s minimum is P10k and max is P15k. • The mode of payment is also shown above the green buy button. Mode of payment may vary. It can be Bank Transfer, GCash, or Paymaya. Transferring from P2P to Fiat and Spot • After buying from P2P, tap the Wallet option again and then tap the Overview option. • This will show you your Fiat and Spot wallet. This is used for buying crypto. If your crypto is not in this wallet, you will not be able to trade. • Press the Transfer button to move your recently purchased USDT to your Fiat and Spot wallet. Transferring from P2P to Fiat and Spot • Make sure that the From option shows P2P Wallet. If not, then press the arrow on the right to swap the options. • Tap the space provided for BTC and change it to USDT. • Enter the amount that you want to move to your spot wallet. • Press Transfer. Caution when using P2P Money transfer always comes first before the seller sends you USDT. BE CAUTIOUS. Take note of the following: • Avoid transacting with people who are NOT VERIFIED. • Only transact with the LISTED BANK ACCOUNT/NUMBER provided by the seller on the platform. If the seller messages you and gives you another bank account for some reason, bail out. That is most likely a scam. • You can also go to crypto groups on Facebook and ask for P2P sellers there and vouch for their name in the group. Trading on Binance Mobile • Go back to the home screen and press the market option. This will take you to the screen similar in the photo on the right. • Blue box – This is the spot market. A simple buy and sell trade, similar in what we do in PSE. • White box – You can press this to change the coin that you want to trade. This exists in pairs. The CODE on the left is the coin that you are going to BUY and the coin on the right is the coin that you are using to PURCHASE. In the example, it shows you that you are going to buy BTC using USDT. • Red box – Bid for the coin • Green box – Ask for the coin • Orange box – Current market price of the coin. Trading on Binance Mobile • You can open this option by clicking the coin (white box in the previous image) on the TRADE option. • To buy crypto using USDT, press FIAT, then choose USDT. • Beside FIAT are other options for buying crypto. This is because you can also use other currencies aside from USDT to buy other coins. Explore these on your own. • Note: The 10x/3x icons are leverage options. I don’t use them so I can’t teach them here. Trading Crypto and Selling through P2P • Same with trade. Press Sell, enter price, and that’s it! • Once you receive your USDT, transfer it from your Fiat and Spot to P2P wallet. (Sige nga, review to ha. Refer to the previous slides if need kodigo.) • You may now sell your USDT on the P2P market. (Sige nga, review to ha. Refer to the previous slides if need kodigo.) • Another way of CASH OUT is buying XRP and transferring it to your Coins.PH wallet and then converting it there from XRP to PHP. Just make sure that when you use the withdraw option you put the correct address of your XRP wallet from Coins.PH. If you make a mistake in the coin address, your XRP is LOST FOREVER.
