TASK 1 Writing: Describe a food recipe

Task: Describe a recipe for a typical dish you used to eat as a child. What is
it? What is it made of? What does it come with? What does it taste like? Use
words from the word boxes or your own ideas.

 It tastes like  Tasty

 I’m crazy about  Sweet
 I’m a big – eater.  exciting

Example: You can start with something like this:

I used to eat a lot of carbonara pasta, but now I don’t because I don’t have time to cook. It’s
made of spaguetti, bacon, and white sauce. It comes with garlic toast or plantain. It smells a little
strong but it tastes delicious.

Remember to write 3 paragraphs (intro, body, conclusion) and between 100- 110 words.
Pay special attention to grammar, vocabulary, punctuation and spelling.
