• It is a woman’s right to choose
• Safe access prevent unnecessary deaths
• Complicated laws have not worked in past
• Lawmakers should understand view of
majority
• Roe v Wade overturn is alarming globally

birth would bring complications and could kill
both my mom and the baby.

• “About 61% of Americans claim that abortion
needs to be legal in all or most of the states while
37% deem this practice of abortion to be illegal
everywhere” (Pew Research center 1).
• “younger adults have a favorable view towards
abortion as 74% deem this to be legal while the
30% say this legalization is without exception”
(Pew Research center 1).
• From research, majority agrees to legalize
abortion
 Unsafe Abortions are a problem
• “25 million unsafe abortions take place resulting
in 7.9% of Maternal deaths” (OHCHR 1).
• “convoluted abortion laws and restrictions do not
make any legal or public health sense” (Berer 1).
• “68000 women die due to unsafe abortions
making it 13% of maternal mortality as 97% of
unsafe abortions occur” (Haddad et al 1).
• Unsafe abortions cause severe illnesses
• Unsafe abortions lead to death in many cases

for such bans

For abortion views
• “abortion is a safe medical procedure saving lives as bans
endanger healthcare for those not seeking abortions”
(procon 2).
Anti Abortion views
• “life begins at conception as such a culture in fact promotes
needless deaths and that abortion can be solved with more
education and contraception” (Procon 2).
Policy focus
• Design laws on abortion that reconciles views
• Hire a team of experts for a framework to be established
 A policy that works best
• Unsafe access cause “millions of women are being
forced to act like criminals as there are
convoluted abortion laws that are broken by
system as lives of women are wasted” (Berer 1)
• Legalize abortion since the majority agrees with it
• Design a policy on human rights basis and not
political basis
• Restricting women rights worsens the process
• Unsafe abortions have documented deaths
