What do the acronyms TQM and OB stand for? Discuss these management theories and give
your comments regarding their usefulness to present-day management practices

Total Quality Management or TQM focuses on the efforts of all members of the management to
participate in improving their products and services for the customer’s satisfaction. It also
emphasizes the long-term success of the management through the consumer’s satisfaction and
needs. On the other hand, Organizational Behavior Approach or OB gives information on how
employees participate and perform in the workplace and how they interact within the
organization. Applying these two to the present-day practices, it helps us determine the action or
input we should make for the customer’s convenience. It also helps us develop an understanding
on how we can motivate our employees to do their very best in every job.
