Buenavista Inhs Magdalena Be 2023 Narrative
The Department of Education conducted this year’s Brigada Eskwela 2023 also
known as the National Schools Maintenance Week. BE is an annual activity done in
public schools nationwide to encourage community wide participation in cleaning and
repairing schools before the beginning of the school year with the theme “Bayanihan
para sa Matatag na Paaralan “. It brings together stakeholders to participate and
contribute their time ,effort and resources to prepare the school for the opening of
classes on August 29, 2023
Prior to the District Kick-off event, BINHS made a lot of preparation as BE host
school. On August 11, 2023, teachers from both elementary and secondary of
Magdalena sub-office gathered to collaborate and share their idea on how to transform
the entire covered court to look like a barrio fiesta. Everyone was happy while making
some decorative materials. Meanwhile, other teachers helped in hanging the
banderitas and the curtain on stage.
The entire day was not enough to finish the decoration. Mr. Arnel Barcenas and
Ms Esperanza De Pacion went to school on Sunday, August 13, 2023, to market a
bahay kubo as an additional decoration on stage.
On the first day, District Kick off ceremony started with a motorcade where school
heads from elementary and high school in Magdalena district take the lead together with
all the participants.
Thereafter a short program was conducted at BINHS covered court.
The clearing and cleaning of classrooms started in the afternoon. Former students
and volunteers came and worked together to start the rehabilitation to make each room
ready for the opening of classes.
On the second day, more learners, parents, and other stakeholders extended
their helping hand in cleaning, painting, and maintaining good surrounding of
Buenavista INHS.
Some of the former students of Ms. Eula Danice Perin, helped her in cleaning,
painting, and organizing the books inside her classroom. Donations in kind, like cleaning
materials, paint and other materials needed in the said activity was whole heartedly
donated by our stakeholders, parents, and some individuals from outside the
community.
In the afternoon, the youths from SK Magdalena and SSLG Officers from both
Magdalena INHS and Buenavista INHS visited and helped during our Brigada Eskwela.
The day started with the pour of volunteers from different groups. Ms. Siarry A.
Alias and other teachers welcomed the volunteers. The 4P’s beneficiaries arrived at 8
o’clock in the morning. Parents and their children voluntarily helped in the Brigada
Eskwela of Buenavista Integrated National High School.
Several students arrived in the afternoon. They repainted chairs from different
classrooms.
All in all, the task assigned to everyone was done accordingly. The day 3 of
Brigada Eskwela was successful.
The day started with the BE routine, signing on attendance sheet, and checking
of activities. Volunteers and stakeholders were more engaged for they worked in
grouped. They showed up their willingness to help and keep the school surrounding
clean inside and outside.
Some of the volunteers painted the classroom chairs, cleaned the ceiling,
mopping the floor of Ms. Cielinda Reyes, Ms. Esperanza De Pacion, SHS building, and
School Canteen.
Some of the external stakeholders from LGU donated and extended their support
to the activity: Vice Mayor Maximo Sotomayor, Councilor Paterno Sune Jr., Sepak
Takraw players and others.
Buenavista Integrated National High School kicked off day 5 of Brigada Eskwela
‘23 with a set of ready volunteers raring to do some work for the school. The day started
with the Brigada Eskwela routine, signing of attendance, and checking of activities.
Volunteers and stakeholders engaged themselves with the tasks at hand and showed
their willingness to help and keep the school surrounding clean inside and out.
Some of the volunteers painted the classroom chairs, cleaned the ceiling,
mopped the floor of some classrooms, SHS building.
Most, if not all, of the volunteers were former students who recently graduated
but are still willing to show some love for the school.
The program started with a nationalistic song followed by an opening prayer led
by Mr. Randy T. Ugsod, SHS teacher. Ms. Jeneza A. Esmero delivered her opening
remarks and thanked all the people behind the successful Brigada Eskwela this year.
For this year’s conduct of BE, BINHS recorded a total of 415 volunteers
comprised of students, parents, members of LGU Municipal offices, youth church, 4Ps,
SK, Municipal Engineering Office, Magdalena PNP, Magdalena BFP, Tau Gauma,
parents, guardians, learners, stakeholders and the community . Moreover, the school
received donations in cash and in kind. Each of them extended their support, rendered
services for the accomplishment of the activity.
