THE INTERNET MAFIA
I'm sure a lot of people has told
you about how wonderful the
internet made our lives, about
how awesome it is to
communicate with people
around the world and get any
information whenever we want.
But, what's going on behind the
use we give to this internet
companies?

THE MANIPULATION
The internet can be a powerful tool for
communication and information sharing, but it
can also be a breeding ground for manipulation
and misinformation.
Here are some common forms of manipulation
that individuals may encounter on the internet:
Clickbait
Misinformation
Fake reviews
Algorithmic manipulation
CLICKBAIT
Clickbait refers to sensational or misleading
headlines designed to entice readers to click on a
link. Clickbait headlines often have little to do
with the content of the article, and are designed
to generate clicks and pageviews.

MISINFORMATION
Misinformation is false or misleading information
that is spread intentionally or unintentionally. It
can take many forms, including rumors, hoaxes,
and fake news.
FAKE REVIEWS
Fake reviews are reviews that are posted
online with the intention of misleading
consumers about the quality of a product or
service. These reviews can be written by the
business itself, or by paid influencers.

ALGORITHMIC MANIPULATION
Algorithmic manipulation refers to the use of
algorithms to manipulate the information
that individuals see online. This can include
the use of bots to flood social media with
false information, or the manipulation of
search results to push certain websites or
information to the top of search results.

Most people don't read the cookie terms and

conditions on websites because it takes too
long and doesn't seem important. But we
should ask ourselves if we need to know more
about what happens to our personal
information online. Now that we know a little
bit more will it change the way we behave
online?
