There is no doubt that the internet has made our lives easier and more convenient.

We can use the internet to communicate with people around the world, to do business
online, to make new friends and to know different cultures.

Below you will find out more about the benefits of the Internet and the negative effects of
the Internet.

2. Advantages of the Internet:

To begin with, it is important to mention that the benefit of the Internet is the possibility of
communicating with people from anywhere, regardless of distance and without leaving your
room.

The convenience of communication channels and Social Media has transformed the way we
communicate.

Secondly, information represents the greatest benefit that the Internet offers. Any
information you want is available on the Internet and you no longer have to pay someone to
give you that information.

Students consider that the impact of the Internet on them is a positive one due to the
access to useful materials and resources, which offers much help and saves them from
certain worries.

The advantages of using the Internet were also felt in the way the idea of making money
evolved, from a job to an online business, from student to blogger, Youtuber or
Instagrammer with an audience of over 100 thousand people.

3. Disadvantages of the Internet:

However, for all its benefits and positives, the Internet also has many potential risks.

Yes, the Internet has made our lives easier in many ways and will continue to do so through
constant evolution, but it has also created a number of problems for its users. Online theft
of information and the intentional misuse of information are two of the most negative
effects of Internet use.

Another negative effect or disadvantage of the Internet is that it allows a large number of
people to remain anonymous when accessing different sites. Which allows people to take
advantage of innocent people and abuse their confidence.

And this is used by platforms such as Facebook Ads or Google Ads and by certain companies
that sell all kinds of dubious products and drugs, which have no concrete effect and are
enriched by taking advantage of the naivety of Internet users.

4. Conclusions the importance of the net

The Internet is important, we cannot say anything else. But more important is to understand
very well how this ecosystem works and how we can avoid being tricked, cheated or thrown
money on information that is already free online in Google.

We are still trying to implement a kind of regulation to control the activity on the Internet
and a direction in this step was the GDPR directive for the protection of personal data.

However, I think that instead of turning the Internet into a taboo subject, it is more
important to educate ourselves and the children how to use the Internet for their benefit.

And most importantly, we need to understand how young the Internet is and the entire
ecosystem of platforms and applications that have the foundation of the Internet. Why?

Because the Internet is still growing and who knows where it will reach after VR (virtual
reality), AR (augmented reality), personal assistants (Google Home) and voice searches.

It all comes down to how we choose each of us to use the Internet. If you prefer to stay and
spend a significant amount of hours playing something online or watching a movie on
Netflix, the choice is yours!

However, I recommend you to remember that in those hours there are quite a lot of people
who make money using the Internet through platforms such as: YouTube and Instagram.
