The study will be focusing on the Catholic Churches in Manila.

The
researchers will study if the BSTM Students from FEU-ITHM are familiar with the selected
churches and how are these churches affects or influence our culture. Because in the findings
from a research survey from the countries of Chad and Ghana, it shows that young adults are
more likely to be religiously unaffiliated. And this causes young adults to be incognizant about
the churches. And for this study, the researchers would like to find out if BSTM Students are
aware and knowledgeable about the selected Catholic churches.

The study involved 200 Bstm Student. Most respondents are from third year followed by
second year, 4th year and 1st year. Most are Males, then females, and LGBTIQQ members. And
most of the respondent are Roman Catholic, followed by Christians, and Muslim.

Most respondents went to churches on a weekly or monthly basis.

The results shows that there is a high proportion of students who have been to the selected
churches. It raises the possibility that the churches are well known or have a cultural value for
the respondents. While the low proportion of respondents who haven’t been to the selected
churches might reflect business, lack of interest, familiarity, or different religion.

The research study has 4 tables that answers how knowledgeable are the bstm students when
it comes to their perspectives towards the cultural significance of the selected catholic
churches.

From the 4 tables which are about Cognizance, Value, Knowledge and Cultural Significance, the
result shows that the respondents agreed on the statements which show that respondents are
aware, values, and knowledgeable about the churches and its cultural significance. However,
there are respondents who barely agreed about the historical events of Malate Church and
Manila Cathedral. And the agreement is lower when respondents were asking whether they are
aware that selected catholic churches are baroque style.

The table of Cognizance shows that the respondents are aware with the catholic churches, and
most have been there. The respondents generally agreed with the statement, but some barely
agreed with Malate Church and Manila Cathedral’s historical occurrences.

The Table for Value shows that the respondents are in agreement with all the statements
regarding cultural importance of the selected churches. It shows that respondents appreciate
the cultural relevance and its cultural value.
The result also found out that the knowledge of the respondents about churches cultural value
is at high, and most are in agreement with the following statements. But the agreement is
