 By participating a residency program where they spend time living, working, and
attending classes in a community

2. What kind of immersion program would your community benefit from? How
will it help your community?
 Enhanced cultural sensitivity: Immersion students exhibit a greater awareness of,
appreciation for, and understanding of various cultures and people. Through
community immersion, persons who are unfamiliar with the locals and the
communities where they will work can become fully immersed in them.
