Itsy Bitsy Spider Poster: Please feel free to email this pdf to a printing company for enlarged poster

your set to send it off.
The Itsy Bitsy Spider Game Board Idea #1: Laminate and cut out game cards listed as idea #1. Next,
place the game cards upside down next to game board. Players roll dice to see how many spaces they
get to move. Then, they select a card and read it out loud if they are able to or a teacher can point
to words and read it to younger children. The idea of this game is to help children name objects and
to get a language rich dialogue going. I work with children who come from homes in which they are
seldom or never read too. They are smart kiddos, but surprisingly often do not know the name of
common objects.
Player's game pieces to move around the board (for game 1 and 2) are located on the continued game
pieces #1 page.
The Itsy Bitsy Spider Game Board Idea #2: Laminate and cut out game cards listed as idea #2. No
dice will be needed for this game. Next, place the game cards upside down next to game board.
Children take turns turning over a game card to see how many spaces they get to move.
Name plates: Just need to print on card stock and laminate for reuse if you choose.
The Itsy Bitsy Spider Pattering: Print out enough recording sheets for the class. Print multiple copies
of page 15. I usually cut and sort like pieces into a plastic veggie and dip tray. I use this as a center
for children to make 4 patterns of their own.
Itsy Bitsy Spider Matching: You will need to print copies of the front side of the card on card stock.
Then reinsert paper to print on backside. Pages 18-21 can be printed to line-up on the backside.
Idea #1: Print pages 18 and 19 as upper and lowercase matches.

Idea #2: Print pages 20 and 21 as upper and lowercase matches.
Idea #3: Print any of the pages twice to play as match up.
Itsy Bitsy Spider Sentence strips for Chart: Just copy on to card stock or copy paper. Laminate for
durability. Cut out and glue overlapping pieces. Place in chart and READ with kiddos over and over
again!
Itsy Bitsy Spider Take Home Book: Copy and sort pages by page number. This book can become a
center for students to color the pages.
Itsy Bitsy Coloring Book: Make a quick and easy coloring book. Just copy and staple down the left
side. This book was designed to extend the coloring sheet into a diagram by placing words and arrows
around the page.
