FRENETIC AND UNRESTLESS STREET FREVO
IT'S THE STREET !

It is characterized by an instrumental repertoire, fast pace and brilliant timbres. It is

composed for the so-called “street orchestras”, formed by wind and percussion
instruments, such as saxophones, trombones, trumpets, tubas, tambourines, boxes
and surdos.

FREVO-CANÇÃO I WANT TO SING, FOR THE PEOPLE TO DANCE FREVO...

It has the same instrumental basis as street frevo, but differs in the performance of a
male or female singer. It is usually performed on stages, electric trios and club halls.
On the streets, it also has participation from the crowd of revelers who sing its verses
at the top of their lungs.

FREVO-DE-BLOCO (BLOCK FREVO) EVOLUTION IN PROCESSIONS,

EVOCATIONS...
Traditionally slower than the other modalities. The block frevo creates
singular sounds through the "pau-e-corda orchestras", composed of guitars,
mandolins and cavaquinhos accompanied by choirs of female voices. It is played in
the processions of mixed or lyrical carnival blocks.
