I-INTRODUCTION
Relative to DepEd Memorandum No. 021, _s2023 all public elementary and secondary
schools nationwide implemented the BRIGADA ESKWELA 2023 on August 14 - 19, 2023.
The said activity is a school maintenance program that engaged all education stakeholders to
contribute their time, effort and resources in ensuring that public school facilities are set for
the forthcoming school opening on August 29, 2023. A six-day activity was attended by the
different community groups, parents, alumni, different religious sects and event teachers and
students volunteer their time and skills for the conduct of clean-ups, minor repairs and
maintenance work in classrooms and within school site.
II. OBJECTIVES
Prepare the whole school community for the incoming school year 2023-2024
Encourage all education stakeholders to contribute for the success of the undertakings.
Make national campaign for safe and clean Oplan Balik Eskwela .
Invite other individuals to provide support in any ways/means to San Alejandro
Integrated School
Develop cooperation, Good relation and “sense of responsibility” among people of the
community.
With the help of the SSG officers, checking of attendance had been done before they
started the activity. As the Brigada Eskwela Coordinators, Mrs. Janine Elizabeth Q. Abel and
Mr. Raymond P. Dicion led and monitored the entire activities for the whole day such as the
continuation of cleaning/improvement of physical facilities, cleaning of ceiling and walls ,
cleaning/ repairing of comfort rooms, as well as cleaning the school canteen and classrooms .
On the next day, August 16, after the checking of attendance ,repairing and cleaning
of chairs, desks, tables, blackboards and other school facilities were given attention. Class
rooms were cleaned. This was led by the officer of the day who is Mrs. Darlyn M. De Guzman.
On August 17, after checking the attendance, disposing garbage and trash had been
immediately accomplished by the whole cleaning force. Planting of different plants was also
done. Cleaning of/improving all areas of the school was also accomplished which had been
generally monitored by the officer of the day -Mrs. Cathrine Vegiga
On the next days, Brgy. Officials headed by Brgy. Captain Christetuto F. Veajedor Jr.
led the pruning of Trees inside the school site.
On the last day of the activity, evaluation and monitoring of the accomplishments done
were reported at the closing program that was participated by the PTCAs, School Personnels,
Brgy. Officials and other stakeholders.
Also the awarding of certificates for the volunteers is given on the last day of activity.
As a whole, all the tasks were successfully done and completed for this Dep-Ed project.
Stakeholders showed their initiatives providing anything that could result to a successful
event. With this, we could say that the school is now well prepared to be the second home of
the learners being a hazard-free, safe, conducive and an enjoyable place to stay in.
