CLAIM:- The Petition was filed on 22/11/2019 U/Sec.166

of M.V. Act 1989. The petitioner has claimed compensation of
Rs.10,00,000/- with interest at 18% p.a., for the injuries
sustained by Puneethkumar.S.U in the Motor Vehicle Accident
that took place on 15.05.2019 at 4.45 pm on Hassan-Dudda
Road, near Koravangala Gate.

Petition filed by the petitioner U/S.166 of Motor

Vehicles Act, 1988 is partly allowed with costs.
The petitioner is entitled for total compensation of
Rs.3,38,400/- (Rupees Three Lakhs Thirty-eight
Thousand four hundred only) with interest at the rate
of 6% per annum from the date of petition till realization
including the interim compensation if any paid.
Liability to pay compensation is joint and several by
respondents No.1 and 2 but respondent No.2 shall
indemnify the respondent No.1 and deposit the
compensation amount within 30 days from the date of this
judgment.
On deposit of the compensation amount, 50% of
compensation amount along with proportionate interest
shall be released to the petitioner. Remaining amount shall
be deposited for a period of 3 years in any of the
nationalized bank in the name of the petitioner.
