GS 01C25B01-01EN [Style: 53]

The high {)6rformance diffemntial f)ffl:ssure

transmitter EJX110A features sing/6 crystal silicon
resonant sensor and is suitable to measure liquid,
gas, or steam flow ss well ss liquid level, density
and
pressum. EJX110A outputs a 4 to 20 mA DC signal
corresponding to the measul8d differantial Pff18Sura.
Its highly accurate and stable sensor can also
measum the static pressure which can be shown on
the integral indicator or remotely monitored via
BRAIN
or HART communications. Other key features
include quick response, remote set-up using
communications, diagnostics and optional status
output for pressure high/low alarm. The multi-
sensing technology
provides the advanced diagnostic function to detect
such abnormalities as an impulse line blockage
or heat trace breakage. FOUNDATION Fieldbus and
PROF/BUS PA protocol typ8s al8 also
available.A/I EJX senes models in their standalTl

Mn.7000 Series award-winning,

inlrinsic safety shunt-diode sarety barriers
are innovative devices designedlo provide
excepllonally high packing densities.
SO"alghlforward 'single-operation' installation
and simplified connection, commissioning and
maintenance facllltles. Many of the MTL7000
Serles faawres duplicate 1he functions of
COl'Mlnllonal fleldterminals and the barrier.; can,
lherefore, 'double up' as terminals for many
applications, saving even more space.
A barrier width of only 7mm enables
maximum packing densities due to lhe use of
surface mount and thick.film hybrid circuit
technologies (suects or patent applications).
8-rri• id.mif'ic.tiGn is provided by one or
bolh of two methods. The firs! consists of ragging
strips mountad on posts 1or.:el9d et eaeh end of
a raw of barriers while the other consists or
separate idertifiers attached o the tops
ofindividual barriers. Of these, the first can
be used to tag locations as well as barriers and
is recommended for large installations while
lhe second is better suited to installations of a
few baniers only.

• Direct connection of cable screens and OV lines -
third terminal on both hazardous and safe sides

• Patent US 5838547

An optional power comb simplifies installations where multiple

baniers are powered from a common 24V de source (via a power feed
module or a dummy barrier). The comb replaces individual power supply
connections IO each barrier,
yet allows slngle barriers to be removed wl1hoU1 affecting lhe others. The
power feed module powers up to 40 barriers andIncorporates a trip which
switches off the supply to the baniersif a fault (such as an overvoltage)
occurs in the power source circuit.
Seoondary replaeeable fuse versions of many barriers are available
and formlhe MTl7100 sub-series. These are useful where there is a possibility
of faults occurTing during commissioning Which would Oll'larwlse blow Ille
barriers' lnlemal safety ftJses. One secondary replaceable fuse ror each
barrier channel Is provided and Is lower In value than the rela1ed safety
fuse. Fuses are packaged In small mouldings which c:an be latched in a
'disconnect' positionlo break the safe and hazardous areas during
comm1ss1oning, mainlenance or fault finding, thus avoiding he need for
additional disconnect terminals.
Where a fuH i1 leu likely to be neceua lhe MTl7200 sub-

HOW THEY WORK

All MTL7000 Series barrier.; are based on the same simple
principle. Each channel cortains three stages of Zener or
forwarckonnected diodes and an 'infallible' terminating
resistor. In the event of an electrical fault in the safe area, tile
diodes imit the voltage lhat can reach the hazardous area and tile
resister Imits he current: active output-current limiting circuits are
not used. An inlernal fuse protects Iha diodes, and 1hathree stages

ALPHA DCM 470 zadowelectronics

Dielectric Constant Meter / Permittivity Meter

These pictures show how easy it is to measure the absolute Permittivity (Dielectric Constant) of
liquids with our new DCM 470. Here, 5ml of water is examined in a 16mm glass tube.
With the calibrating switch in the PRESET position, the device is precisely factory calibrated.
There's nothing to do but to read the dielectric constant from the display.
With the calibrating switch in upper position you can calibrate the meter with reference liquids
of your choice using the left control for 1.00 adjustment (dry/air) and the right control (wet) for
reference liquid adjustment. Both controls can be locked to save customer calibration.
The easy to disassemble probe should be cleaned carefully after usage with a piece of cloth, if
necessary, in a solvent.
