J | Man, it has been a while since |didn't write stuff here, but as everyone of you want to
know, where is all this project going? Why are we taking so long? Not that we have a
deadline or something but it is good to know when to ехрес! something that you enjoy
reading, or watching or playing, in this case our favorite series.
Besides "Temporal" releasing the raws of Baki and Hanma Baki Son of Ogre, and saving
me the painstaking effort to unbind and scan my whole Manga collection and the people
to keep releasing the licensed collection of the anime series, we have been very short of
help, the translator, like everyone else, has alife and suddenly there are more important
things that translate for very low, almost nothing, comic series for a bunch of people that
will enjoy all this in silence and keep going like this were sent from heaven.
What you will read here is the efforts of me bothering a bunch of people, | spent some
money on it and | went ahead making some friends in the way expecting that this series
will take off in a crazy success, “success” meaning that we will have tons of collaborators
and in between all of us, we will finish the series in a glorious way in a minimal time line,
believe me, І want to see this series done as fast as possible as much as you, and we
really try but without help, there is little | can do .
"Success" That has not been the case on Baki, | tried to contact more groups for a joint
effort, tried to find translators willing to be paid 5 bucks per book, and my ex wife was the
web master (so thats why we don't have an updated homepage and forum like everyone
else.)
1 really wanted that a group come forward and start competing with me doing Baki like they
do with Gantz, Berserk and Hajime No Ippo but | guess we are the only choice for Baki.
But guess what, Baki is being published in France, Korea and China, so we may end up
having more options than just sitting down and emailing the group asking what happened
with this week chapter.
We went to release two chapters a week to release one chapter every two weeks, that is all
the help that we could provide, if you can think in something better, it will be great for all of
us.
Baki will not be promised until we find the help we need, there has been some kind fans
offering money donations that | been refusing until we find more translators and Spider Rob
has finished his run of translations and sincerely | don't want to pressure him on the time.
In the good news, an amazing collaborator translated and edited for us many chapters of
book 4 and you will see his amazing work in the following weeks.
For the last, due to many questions and emails asking me this: my group doesn't own the
raws of the first series and we don't provide the raws for the new series, also, we will not
start "Hanma Baki son of Ogre" until we finish "Baki SOTH” first, if somebody decides to work
on it and you read it, you will spoil a Major part of the story and there is stuff you will not
understand, Son of ogre is the direct sequel of Soth and many ofthe stories there are linked.
So if you have knowledge ofFrench (or if you live in france or have friends that read Manga
and live in france) we need your help to keep this series going. Until then, we will keep doing
our best effort in continue this Manga, No point on throwing the towel yet, but we need the
help, see ya later.
