OTHER TYPES OF LOCKS

MORTICE LOCKS - A mortice lock is a type of locking mechanism that is commonly used in doors. It is a
type of lock that is installed inside a door, rather than surface-mounted like a latch or deadbolt.
RIM LOCKS - When the door is closed, the latch bolt extends into the strike plate on the frame, holding the
door in place. The lock is typically operated from the inside with a key or a thumb turn, and can also be locked
or unlocked from the outside with a key. One example of a rim lock is the popular Yale rim lock. This lock
features a classic design and is often used on wooden doors. It is known for its durability and reliability, and is
available in a variety of finishes to match any decor. With its easy installation and functionality, the Yale rim
lock is a great choice for anyone looking for a secure and stylish lock solution.
SMART LOCKS - These locks use wireless technologies such as Bluetooth, Wi-Fi, or NFC to communicate
with your mobile device or computer. Smart locks are a type of electronic lock that can be controlled remotely
using a smartphone, tablet, or computer. One example of a smart lock is the August Smart Lock Pro. This lock
can be controlled using the August app on your smartphone, and it allows you to lock and unlock your door
remotely, check the lock status, and create virtual keys for family members, friends, or guests.
KEY CONTROL - This involves tracking the issuance and return of keys, restricting access to authorized
personnel, and implementing security measures to prevent unauthorized duplication or theft of keys.
sa front desk kapag nag-check out sila.

TYPES OF KEYS
EXPLANATION

CHANGE KEY - A change key is a small device used to open certain types of locks. However, if the key is
lost or stolen, instead of replacing the entire lock, a change key can be used to reset the lock to work with a new
key.
SUB-MASTER KEY EXPLANATION - People with higher levels of authority or responsibility within an
organization, such as building managers or security personnel, typically use this kind of key.
MASTER KEY EXPLANATION - This is useful in situations where multiple people need access to different
areas, but a single person needs access to all areas.
GRAND MASTER KEY EXPLANATION - Large companies, like hotels or office complexes, frequently
employ a grandmaster key system to provide particular people access to particular areas while limiting access to
others.
