Da se podsetimo:
Future Simple Tense gradi na DVA NAČINA:
1. WILL + INFINITIV GLAGOLA (za sva lica):
Potvrdni oblik: He will come tomorrow.
Upitni oblik: Will he come tomorrow.
Odrični oblik: He will not (won't) come tomorrow.
Ovo je lako, ali ključna stvar je da naučimo kada treba koristiti prvu, a kada drugu opciju.
I to je prilično lako. Najpre treba znati kada uopšte koristimo Future Simple. Odgovor je:
uglavnom u ČETRI KLASIČNE SITUACIJE:
1. kada izražavamo spremnost/volju da nešto uradimo (Ja ću se javiti na telefon)
2. kada nekome dajemo obećanje da ćemo nešto uraditi u budućnosti (Doći ću, obećavam)
2. kada govorimo o svojim budućim planovima (Kad porastem, biću doktor) i
3. kada nešto predviđamo (Bajden će da pobedi na izborima)
U slučaju kad dajemo predviđanja, možemo korisiti bilo koju opciju, i WILL+INF. Ili
TO BE GOING TO.

Although the two forms can sometimes be used interchangeably, they often express two
different meanings:
“Will” "Be going to"
is used to express: is used to express
A voluntary action: A plan
A: I'm really hungry. EXAMPLES:
B: I'll make some sandwiches. He is going to spend his vacation in Hawaii.
A: I'm so tired. I'm about to fall asleep. We are going to meet each other tonight at
B: I'll get you some coffee. 6:00 PM.
A: The phone is ringing.
B: I'll get it. A: Who is going to make John's birthday
cake.
A promise: B: Sue is going to make John's birthday
I will call you when I arrive. cake.
I will make sure everyone has access to
inexpensive health insurance.
I promise I will not tell him about the
surprise party.
Both "will" and "be going to" can express the idea of a general prediction about the future.
Predictions are guesses about what might happen in the future. In the following examples
there is no difference in meaning.
Predictions:
The year 2010 will be a very interesting year.
The year 2000 is going to be a very interesting year.
John Smith will be the next President.
John Smith is going to be the next President.
The movie "Zenith" will win several Academy Awards.
The movie "Zenith" is going to win several Academy Awards.
Common present future time expressions:
SUMMARY:
Will /be going to + Verb
Will: voluntary action/promise/prediction
Be going to: plan/prediction
Tomorrow, soon, next week/morning/year…
Prediction: both “will” and “be going to”
HOMEWORK 1:
Exercises: Fill in the blank with either Will+INF. or TO BE GOING TO+ INF:
1. A: Why are you holding a piece of paper? What do you plan to do with it?
