wouldnt start..i tightned
the hot wire to the
solenoid..seat belt…

my new job has a new holland L-785 skid steer.

it wouldn't start last week until I tightned the hot
wire to the solenoid. it ran for a couple days
and now seems to have a problem with the seat
belt/butt sensor system. the connector to the butt sensor was bad so i hard wired it and now the seat belt light
comes on and locks out the ignition after one turn of the key. when the engine does try to turn over, it seems as
if the seat belt system kicks it out and we have to unbuckle/re buckle the belt. any ideas?

It sounds like you have already diagnosed the Majority of your problems. For this machine to be
safe and operational based on correcting your current complaints only you would need to fix the
seat, safety interlock switches, and the safety switch wiring back to OEM specs for the interlock
system to work properly.
