Method - evaluation Bibliography

 What to do during the course (including small exercises)
● Annotate the documents (copy of the slides on http://chamilo2.grenet.fr/inp)  Incropera, Dewitt: Fundamentals of heat and mass transfer
● Search the exercises and do the calculations, at least in order of magnitude (Wiley, 90, 96, 02, 07, 2011) Bergman, Lavine, Incropera, Dewitt since 5th edition (2002)
● Ask questions interesting everyone during the course, or on your work during exercices ● Practical approach, handbook style (tables, abaques, correlations)
 During training (larger exercises with written subject as in exam) ● About heat transfers in general, two chapters on radiation, four chapters on convection
● Team work (up to 3 or 4 students): one common solution for the team
No correction on blackboard, but discussion with the professor
Bianchi, Fautrelle, Etay: Transferts thermiques (P.p.u.r., 2004)

● One copy per team can be reviewed by the professor for the next course
● Have your calculator, and always verify the homogeneity of units in your calculations ● Ouvrage de transfert thermique général en français
● Donne le détail des notations francophones pour le rayonnement
 At home
● For a clearer polycop READ THE BOOKS (see bibliography) at least 2h at library in the semester!
● Numerical results and units are important: remember the typical values, try new applications  Siegel & Howell: Thermal Radiation Heat Transfer (Hemisphere, 1992)
● Detailled book on radiation heat transfer
● English terminology for radiation
 Evaluation
● Final exam (2h) will count as 20% in the final module mark  Bejan: Convection Heat transfer (Wiley, 84, 94, 04, 2013)
● Continuous control will count as 15% of the final module mark
● Detailled book on convection
