Candidates can choose to apply with either of the two following options:

• Video - Video submission followed by an in-person audition for those invited to trial

• In-person only – One in-person audition of approx. 20 minutes

For candidates who would like to apply through the video route

Candidates will need to register on MusicalChairs and apply via the 'Apply via musicalchairs’ button to

booklet in one video (please download the excerpt booklet from MusicalChairs). Excerpts should be recorded
in the order the are presented in the booklet. In addition to the orchestral excerpts in this booklet, you are also

For candidates applying through this route, please note that if invited to trial you will be required to also
undertake a live audition during a trial patch.

For candidates who would like to apply through the in-person route

Candidates will need to register on MusicalChairs and apply via the 'Apply via musicalchairs’ button to
complete a short information form about you. You do not need to submit a video at this point and can submit
your application without any media attached. After the closing date, you will be invited to an in-person
audition of approx. 20 minutes. This audition will be screened and will be in two rounds both taking place
within the same time slot.
