Political Dynasty Graft and Corruption

The ownership and the control of distributing power and using the benefits of economic power, Political Dynasty.

Political dynasty starts with the dynastic families. These families want to continue its legacy or history of old family

members being in the government. They would not allow a competitor in this enterprise and would use all means to

entrench itself in power. To remain in power, dynasties would push opponents out of the way of political contests

either by allocating them to lower posts or in buying them out. When they refuse to surrender and would still

continue to contest the dynasty, then the one move they would do is to buy voters. But it wouldn’t be just buying

voters now is it? but also the election officials who oversee the electoral contests. In rare but worse cases, some

political dynasties would have a group of people to tip electoral contests by harassment or liquidation. But of course

people have tried their best to put these dynasties down, by doing so, they get challenged, like anti-dynasty provision

or party lists or even their inability to adjust to the changing times.

But somehow they still stand. How? How could such people still be adored? The things they do for power are

unacceptable. Buying people? Setting other candidates up for failure? All for power? Or are they doing this to have

money? Do they really want what's best for us? Or to just take our money in a blink of an eye? When the rise of

political dynasties happens, one of it’s biggest hazards is adopting the federal system. Which means the rich get

richer while the poor get poorer.

We need to stop this. These dynasties, corruption and graft. This is what brings our economy and community

down. One of those ways that I think is really helpful is voting wisely. It may be common, but it is the most

helpful one. We should be able to stop and think for a moment before we decide who gets to lead and help our

community to be a better place.

Don’t let the money they pay you fool you. Because that money they gave you? If they win, the money will just

come back right to them. You wasted that money for your benefit and automatically thought “ oh these people

gave out money, they would be good leaders! “. No. People need to stop being blinded by the objects they offer

just to win.
“The state shall guarantee equal access to opportunities for public service, and prohibit political dynasties as

may be defined by law,” so the Constitution (Art. II, Sec. 26) solemnly declares. Even though this had been

repeated multiple times, like its many other “principles and state policies,” it remains unimplemented to this

day.

Political dynasty, graft and corruption is a huge social sin. These three are forms of betrayal and dishonesty.

Which is one of the biggest sins. I think we all know the money and power given to the government which is

supposed to be used for the common good gets taken away from us for their own pleasure. It is no surprise to

me, or to anyone that corruption has become a way of life at this point. These three are not only big sins

themselves, but these lead to more sins. The rage, murder, and ruins of homes. The government allows this,

while we struggle to uphold ourselves and live with what little money we have, they try to solve it when in

reality they sit at home and watch us while drinking luxurious alcohol, sitting on one of the finest seats as if it

were a reality show.

Sin is not just found in the hearts of individuals, but embedded in systems and structures of society in political,

economic, and social structures. It has become a way of life and part of culture. I just realized that these sins

don’t just happen, they also happen because of us, the people who vote for them.

We always talk about voting for the right people but do we really? Our conscience tells us to do so but our

actions show different. We get so intrigued by the material things they have to offer or the words they say in

order to win. But look at us, did they live up to their words? Not only is it their fault that this is the world we live

in but it is also ours. WE chose these people into thinking if they were good enough but we are fooled, blinded

and tricked because of their words. “ Actions speak louder than words. “ Yet their words spoke louder than their

own actions. They speak so big of what they can change for a better world yet they do little of it. I know that the

government's conscience speaks on giving us what we need but they neglect it because of their selfishness.

As a teenager I can’t vote yet, but I have a voice. I will use my voice to educate these people and open their eyes

and mind to what these dynasties really have to offer. Corruption and Graft. I stand by my words and say that

dynasties need to be taken down.
