 INTRODUCTION

The fourth birth centenary of Mahamati Prannath is being

celebrated this year. This occasion is most appropriate to
recollect and communicate his messages of great moral and
spiritual importance to the masses at large. His real time religious
philosophy based upon elevated thinking, even now after almost
400 years, is equally valuable and useful for the society which is
still divided in the name of religion into various schools of faiths.
During his lifetime Mahamati Prannath was actively devoted in
propagating the necessity of synthesizing various spiritual and
religious groups. He was a true reformer who worked for the
upliftment of the moral as well as general conduct of the masses.
Being contemporary of Mughal King Aurangzeb he was highly
disturbed by the conflicts among followers of different faiths. His
basic message was for a universal religion- believing in ONE GOD,
thereby promoting amicable relations among all.
The spiritual wisdom and eternal knowledge of Mahamati
Prannath is radiated through his 14 books – together referred
to as Tartam Vani (also known as Kuljam Swarup), comprising of
18758 verses. He teaches the humanity true path of love and
presents an integral view of reality.
 The present booklet is a compilation of 400 statements of
wisdom pertaining to moral, spiritual and social importance, picked
up from his verses and preaching. The prime task of selecting
these 'Suktis' from the treatise of Mahamati's Tartam Vani has
been carried out by Shri Mohan Priyacharya Ji. With his blessings
and guidance the English version has been composed with the
aim to make this communicable to other interested readers also.
These dictums are of direct relevance to our day to day
life. By pondering over them would definitely lead to more pious
and purposeful living in order to create a peaceful and happy
environment-as pronounced by Mahamai Prannath in his famous
slogan
“SUKH SHEETAL KAROON SANSAAR”.
