Q.2) – A vessel of 12500 t displacement has KM = 7.9 m and GM = 1.5 m. A jumbo derrick is
used to shift a weight of 80 t from center line of the lower hold (kg = 3.5 m) to the upper
deck (kg 9.0 m) and 5 m out from center line on port side. The head of derrick is 21.5 m above
the keel.
a) - Find the KG of the ship when the weight is hanging by the derrick. (10 M)
