INTRODUCTION

To have a clean and healthy school environment, the school are calling
for a full cooperation of the students in developing different waste to control
their bad habits in segregating waste. We can say that it has a solution but
most students are not doing the right thing to do. Being a student of San
Juan Senior High School -Stand Alone, the responsibility of segregating
biodegradable and non-biodegradable Waste Management improves to
maintain school cleanliness. Waste Management is a huge responsibility
for school that is often hard to manage, with waste control and right
garbage disposal advocacy will help and ensure the student, teachers and
school cleanliness and own hygiene. This project has many way and
benefits that provide a pleasant school environment and hygiene.

Waste Management System or Waste Disposal is a streamlined

process that organization use to dispose of reduce, reuse, and prevent
waste. It is also an approach where companies implement comprehensive
strategies to efficiently manage wastes from their origin until final disposal.
Possible waste disposal methods are recycling, composting, incineration,
landfills, bioremediation, waste to energy, and waste minimization.
Recycling also known as physical reprocessing recycling is ideal for the
disposal of inorganic waste such as a plastic, glass, and metals. Though
organic waste such a as paper and food can also be recycled, composting
would be a better waste disposal methods as it converts organic waste into
nutrient-rich fertilizer. Waste-to-Energy is the convension of non-recycable
waste into heat electricity or fuel using renewable energy sources such as
anaerobic digestion and gasification. Fransisco E.B (2018)
Proper waste management is about segregating your waste into its
proper category. Before you dump your junk right away into the trash bin,
you need to make sure you’ve placed it in its proper category. For instance,
all your plastic wastes must go to the non-biodegradable container, while
your food leftovers can be in the biodegradable or organic waste, and
unwanted electronics must be disposed of via a proper e-waste recycling
scheme. The purpose of this practice is to ensure that non-recyclable
waste will be disposed of properly, while the recyclable ones will be reused
and repurposed into another material. (Levin , 2021)

Better waste separation is needed because schools generate a variety

of trash, including food waste, general waste, packaging, metals, plastic
waste. Correct waste separation is essential for increasing recycling, and
waste management may offer a system that is optimized for this. Increasing
the number of trash cans at your school can help you better manage the
waste generated by the continual growth in student enrollment. It will also
help you reduce litter and deal with the waste more efficiently. Then, it will
be simple to collect and discard these containers. Preventing garbage
accumulations, it may be increasingly difficult to routinely and effectively
eliminate rubbish from your site as it grows. To keep your school free of
trash, a specialized waste management supplier can arrange routine
collections.

The problem for the improper waste segregation is the use of “single
trash bins” of some government employees and the confusion of some in
the labeling of some bins. Biodegradable wastes that include left-over food,
wet paper, and fruit scrap will be dumped to green bins; recyclable wastes
that include pet bottles, dried paper, and newspapers will go to the blue bin;
while residual wastes like contaminated plastics, take out containers, and
plastic utensils will go to the gray bin, she said. The yellow bin, meanwhile,
will cater to healthcare wastes like clinic syringes and used cotton. “The
clinic in our provincial capitol is compliant with our waste management,”
she said. The personnel who will collect wastes from the offices will also be
equipped with personal protective equipment like gloves and masks for
their protection. (Momblan, 2020)

(Li et al., 2019) stated that the physical designs of trash bins affect
waste collection performance and separation efficiencies. The effects of
trash bin design can be evaluated by waste collection experiments.
However, waste collection experiments take time to discover the effects of
trash bin designs. Different trash bins designs should be selected via
survey questionnaires before planning on-site experiments. Appropriate
bins should be designed through public participation because this has
strong correlation with waste classification accuracy.

They suggested that trash bins with the least preferred colors had
the highest waste separation efficiencies. On the other hand, color
preference towards trash bins had no significant impact on waste
collection. In addition, lower color preference contributed to lower
noticeability of trash bins. The effective capture rate had a significantly
negative correlation with noticeability.
PROJECT AND DESCRIPTIONS
This project proposal is a Flyer and Tarpulins about the
Importance of the Waste Control and Right Garbages. This
project aims to Implementing sustainable waste
management practices can help ensure that our school are
more sustainable and resilient.
The purpose of the proponents’ advocacy campaign is
to enlighten the students, teachers, and staffs of San
Juan Senior High School-Stand Alone to promote the
practices of sustainability, productivity, right and control the
waste/ garbages. This flyers and tarpulins will also be
recommending solutions to help in the awareness for the
environmental school community cleanliness. Moreover, it
highlights the benefits on how the waste control and right
garbages of wastes.
This advocacy campaign aims to benefit the following;
To the Students. This campaign highlights the benefits of
participating “ The Waste Control and Right Garbages”
projects such as they will enlighten and maintain the
awareness and maintain the cleanliness of environmental
school community.
To the Teachers. This campaign will help the teachers to
lessen their jobs as a teachers to tell the students regarding
to the waste control.
To the Future Proponents. This project can make the life of
the Future Proponents easier it will help their future since the
researcher right now will be campaign this advocacy
