40 RABBANA DUA’S

‫س ِمي ُع ۡٱلعَ ِلي ُم‬ َ َ ‫َربَّنَا تَقَب َّۡل ِمنَّ ۖٓا ِإنَّ َك أ‬
َّ ‫نت ٱل‬
“Our Lord, accept [this] from us. Indeed You are the Hearing, the Knowing.”
– 2:127 –
‫ٱجعَ ۡلنَا ُم ۡس ِل َم ۡي ِن لَ َك َو ِمن ذُ ِريَّتِنَا أ ُ َّم ٗة ُّم ۡس ِل َم ٗة لَّ َك َوأ َ ِرنَا‬ۡ ‫َربَّنَا َو‬
‫ٱلر ِحي ُم‬َّ ‫اب‬ ُ ‫نت ٱلت َّ َّو‬ َ َ ‫علَ ۡين َۖٓا ِإنَّ َك أ‬
َ ‫َمنَا ِس َكنَا َوت ُ ۡب‬
“Our Lord, and make us Muslims [in submission] to You and from our
descendants a Muslim nation [in submission] to You. And show us our rites
[of worship] and accept our repentance. Indeed, You are the Accepting of
Repentance, the Merciful.”
– 2:128 –

َ َ‫عذ‬
‫اب‬ َ ‫سن َٗة َوفِي ۡٱۡل ِخ َرةِ َح‬
َ ‫سن َٗة َوقِنَا‬ َ ‫َربَّنَا َءاتِنَا فِي ٱلدُّ ۡنيَا َح‬
ِ َّ‫ٱلن‬
‫ار‬
“Our Lord, give us in this world [that which is] good and in the Hereafter
[that which is] good and protect us from the punishment of the Fire.”
– 2:201 –
‫علَى ۡٱلقَ ۡو ِم‬ ُ ‫ص ۡب ٗرا َوث َ ِب ۡت أ َ ۡقدَا َمنَا َوٱن‬
َ ‫ص ۡرنَا‬ َ ‫َربَّنَا أ َ ۡف ِر ۡغ‬
َ ‫علَ ۡينَا‬
َ‫ۡٱل َٰ َك ِف ِرين‬
“Our Lord, pour upon us patience and plant firmly our feet and give us
victory over the disbelieving people.”
– 2:250 –
‫ط ۡأنَا‬
َ ‫اخ ۡذنَا ِإن نَّسِينَا أ َ ۡو أ َ ۡخ‬
ِ ‫َربَّنَا ََل ت ُ َؤ‬
“Our Lord, do not impose blame upon us if we have forgotten or blundered.”
– 2:286 –

َ ُ‫ص ٗرا َك َما َح َم ۡلت َ ۥه‬

‫علَى ٱلَّذِينَ ِمن قَ ۡب ِلنَا‬ َ ‫َربَّنَا َو ََل ت َ ۡح ِم ۡل‬
ۡ ‫علَ ۡينَا ِإ‬
“Our Lord, and lay not upon us a burden like that which You laid upon those
before us.”
– 2:286 –
ۡ ‫عنَّا َو‬
‫ٱغ ِف ۡر لَنَا‬ َ ‫ف‬ ُ ‫ٱع‬ َ ‫َربَّنَا َو ََل ت ُ َح ِم ۡلنَا َما ََل‬
ۡ ‫طاقَةَ لَنَا ِب ِۖٓهۦ َو‬
َ‫علَى ۡٱلقَ ۡو ِم ۡٱل َٰ َك ِف ِرين‬
َ ‫ص ۡرنَا‬ َ َ ‫َو ۡٱر َحمۡ نَا أ‬
ُ ‫نت َم ۡولَ َٰىنَا فَٱن‬
“Our Lord, and burden us not with that which we have no ability to bear.
And pardon us; and forgive us; and have mercy upon us. You are our
protector, so give us victory over the disbelieving people.”
– 2:286 –

َ ‫َربَّنَا ََل ت ُ ِز ۡغ قُلُوبَنَا بَعۡ دَ ِإ ۡذ َهدَ ۡيتَنَا َوه َۡب لَنَا ِمن لَّد‬
‫ُنك َر ۡح َمة‬
ُ ‫نت ۡٱل َو َّه‬
‫اب‬ َ َ ‫ِإنَّ َك أ‬
“Our Lord, let not our hearts deviate after You have guided us and grant us
from Yourself mercy. Indeed, You are the Bestower.”
– 3:8 –

ُ ‫ٱَّللَ ََل يُ ْخ ِل‬

‫ف‬ َ ‫اس ِليَ ْو ٍم ََّل َري‬
َّ ‫ْب فِي ِه ِإ َّن‬ ِ َّ‫ام ُع ٱلن‬
ِ ‫َربَّنَا ِإنَّ َك َج‬
َ‫ْٱل ِميعَاد‬
“Our Lord, surely You will gather the people for a Day about which there is
no doubt. Indeed, Allah does not fail in His promise.”
– 3:9 –

ِ َّ‫اب ٱلن‬
‫ار‬ َ ‫َربَّنَا ِإنَّنَا َءا َمنَّا فَٱ ْغ ِف ْر لَنَا ذُنُوبَنَا َو ِقنَا‬
َ َ‫عذ‬
“Our Lord, indeed we have believed, so forgive us our sins and protect us
from the punishment of the Fire”
– 3:16 –
َّ ‫سو َل فَ ۡٱكت ُ ۡبنَا َم َع ٱل‬
َ‫ش َٰـ ِهدِين‬ َ ‫َربَّنَا َءا َمنَّا ِب َما أَنزَ ۡل‬
َّ ‫ت َوٱتَّبَعۡ نَا‬
ُ ‫ٱلر‬
“Our Lord, we have believed in what You revealed and have followed the
messenger [i.e., Jesus], so register us among the witnesses [to truth].”
– 3:53 –
‫ت أ َ ْقدَا َمنَا‬
ْ ‫َربَّنَا ٱ ْغ ِف ْر لَنَا ذُنُوبَنَا َو ِإ ْس َرافَنَا فِى أ َ ْم ِرنَا َوث َ ِب‬
َ‫علَى ْٱلقَ ْو ِم ْٱل َٰ َك ِف ِرين‬
َ ‫ص ْرنَا‬
ُ ‫َوٱن‬
“Our Lord, forgive us our sins and the excess [committed] in our affairs and
plant firmly our feet and give us victory over the disbelieving people.”
– 3:147 –

َ َ‫عذ‬
ِ َّ‫اب ٱلن‬
‫ار‬ ُ ‫ت َٰ َهذَا َٰبَ ِطًل‬
َ ‫س ْب َٰ َحن ََك فَ ِقنَا‬ َ ‫َربَّنَا َما َخلَ ْق‬
“Our Lord, You did not create this aimlessly; exalted are You [above such a
thing]; then protect us from the punishment of the Fire.”
– 3:191 –

َ َ‫عذ‬
ِ َّ‫اب ٱلن‬
‫ار‬ ُ ‫ت َٰ َهذَا َٰبَ ِطًل‬
َ ‫س ْب َٰ َحن ََك فَ ِقنَا‬ َ ‫َربَّنَا َما َخلَ ْق‬
“Our Lord, You did not create this aimlessly; exalted are You [above such a
thing]; then protect us from the punishment of the Fire.”
– 3:191 –

ِ ۡ ‫س ِمعۡ نَا ُمنَادِيٗ ا يُنَادِي ِل‬

‫ۡلي َٰ َم ِن أ َ ۡن َء ِامنُواْ ِب َر ِب ُك ۡم فَـَٔا َمنَّا‬ َ ‫َّربَّنَا ِإنَّنَا‬
“Our Lord, indeed we have heard a caller, calling to faith, [saying], ‘Believe in

your Lord,’ and we have believed.”
– 3:193 –
‫سيِـَٔاتِنَا َوت َ َوفَّنَا َم َع ۡٱۡل َ ۡب َر ِار‬ ۡ َ‫َربَّنَا ف‬
َ ‫ٱغ ِف ۡر لَنَا ذُنُوبَنَا َو َك ِف ۡر‬
َ ‫عنَّا‬
“Our Lord, so forgive us our sins and remove from us our misdeeds and
cause us to die among the righteous.”
– 3:193 –
ۗ ‫س ِل َك َو ََل ت ُ ْخ ِزنَا يَ ْو َم ْٱل ِق َٰيَ َم ِة‬
ُ ‫علَ َٰى ُر‬ َ ‫عدتَّنَا‬ َ ‫َربَّنَا َو َءاتِنَا َما َو‬
َ‫ف ْٱل ِميعَاد‬ ُ ‫ِإنَّ َك ََل ت ُ ْخ ِل‬
“Our Lord, and grant us what You promised us through Your messengers
and do not disgrace us on the Day of Resurrection. Indeed, You do not fail in
[Your] promise.”
– 3:194 –
َّ َٰ ‫َربَّنَا َءا َمنَّا فَٱ ْكت ُ ْبنَا َم َع ٱل‬
َ‫ش ِهدِين‬
“Our Lord, we have believed, so register us among the witnesses.”
– 5:83 –
‫ون لَنَا ِعيدا ِۡل َ َّو ِلنَا‬ َّ ‫علَ ْينَا َما ِئدَة ِمنَ ٱل‬
ُ ‫س َما ِء ت َ ُك‬ ِ َ ‫َربَّنَا أ‬
َ ‫نز ْل‬
َّ َٰ ‫نت َخي ُْر‬
َ‫ٱلر ِز ِقين‬ َ َ ‫ٱر ُز ْقنَا َوأ‬ْ ‫نك ۖٓ َو‬
َ ‫اخ ِرنَا َو َءايَة ِم‬ِ ‫َو َء‬
“O Allah, our Lord, send down to us a table [spread with food] from the
heaven to be for us a festival for the first of us and the last of us and a sign
from You. And provide for us, and You are the best of providers.”
– 5:114
َ‫سنَا َو ِإن لَّ ْم ت َ ْغ ِف ْر لَنَا َوت َ ْر َح ْمنَا لَنَ ُكون ََّن ِمن‬
َ ُ‫ظلَ ْمنَا أَنف‬
َ ‫َربَّنَا‬
َ‫ْٱل َٰ َخس ِِرين‬
“Our Lord, we have wronged ourselves, and if You do not forgive us and
have mercy upon us, we will surely be among the losers.”
– 7:23 –
َّ ‫َربَّنَا ََل ت َ ۡجعَ ۡلنَا َم َع ۡٱلقَ ۡو ِم‬
َ‫ٱلظ َٰـ ِل ِمين‬
“Our Lord, do not place us with the wrongdoing people.”
– 7:47 –

َ‫نت خ َۡي ُر ۡٱل َٰفَتِ ِحين‬ ِ ‫َربَّنَا ۡٱفت َ ۡح بَ ۡينَنَا َوبَ ۡينَ قَ ۡو ِمنَا ِب ۡٱل َح‬
َ َ ‫ق َوأ‬
“Our Lord, decide between us and our people in truth, and You are the best
of those who give decision.”
– 7:89 –

َ‫صبْرا َوت َ َوفَّنَا ُم ْس ِل ِمين‬

َ ‫علَ ْينَا‬ ْ ‫َربَّنَا أ َ ْف ِر‬
َ ‫غ‬
“Our Lord, pour upon us patience and let us die as Muslims [in submission
to You].”
– 7:126 –
َّ ‫َربَّنَا ََل ت َ ۡجعَ ۡلنَا فِ ۡتن َٗة ِل ۡلقَ ۡو ِم‬
َ‫ٱلظ َٰـ ِل ِمينَ ; َون َِجنَا ِب َر ۡح َمتِ َك ِمن‬
َ‫ۡٱلقَ ۡو ِم ۡٱل َٰ َك ِف ِرين‬
“Our Lord, make us not [objects of] trial for the wrongdoing people. And
save us by Your mercy from the disbelieving people.”
– 10:85-86 –
َّ ‫علَى‬
‫ٱَّللِ ِمن‬ َ ‫َربَّنَا ِإنَّ َك ت َ ْعلَ ُم َما نُ ْخ ِفى َو َما نُ ْع ِل ُن ۗ َو َما يَ ْخفَ َٰى‬
َّ ‫ض َو ََل ِفى ٱل‬
‫س َما ِء‬ ِ ‫ش ْى ٍۢ ٍء ِفى ْٱۡل َ ْر‬
َ
“Our Lord, indeed You know what we conceal and what we declare, and
nothing is hidden from Allah on the earth or in the heaven.”
– 14:38 –

َ ُ‫ص ًَل ِة َو ِم ْن ذُ ِريَّ ِتي َربَّنَا َوتَقَب َّْل د‬

‫عا ِء‬ َ ‫اجعَ ْل ِني ُم ِق‬
َّ ‫يم ال‬ ْ ‫ب‬ِ ‫َر‬
“My Lord, make me an establisher of prayer, and [many] from my
descendants. Our Lord, and accept my supplication.”
– 14:40 –
‫اب‬
ُ ‫س‬َ ‫ي َو ِل ۡل ُم ۡؤ ِمنِينَ يَ ۡو َم يَقُو ُم ۡٱل ِح‬ ۡ ‫َربَّنَا‬
َّ َ‫ٱغ ِف ۡر ِلي َو ِل َٰ َو ِلد‬
“Our Lord, forgive me and my parents and the believers the Day the account
is established.”
– 14:41 –
‫َربَّنَآ َءتِنَا ِم ْن لَدُ ْن َك َر ْح َمة َوه َِي ْئ لَنَا ِم ْن أ َ ْم ِرنَا َرشَدا‬
“Our Lord, grant us from Yourself mercy and prepare for us from our affair
right guidance.”
– 18:10 –
ْ َ‫علَ ْينَا أ َ ْو أَن ي‬
‫طغَى‬ َ ‫َاف أَن يَ ْف ُر‬
َ ‫ط‬ ُ ‫َربَّنَا ِإنَّنَا نَخ‬
“Our Lord, indeed we are afraid that he will hasten [punishment] against us
or that he will transgress.”
– 20:45 –

َ َ ‫ٱغ ِف ۡر لَنَا َو ۡٱر َحمۡ نَا َوأ‬

َّ ‫نت خ َۡي ُر‬
َ‫ٱلر َٰـ ِح ِمين‬ ۡ َ‫َربَّنَا َءا َمنَّا ف‬
“Our Lord, we have believed, so forgive us and have mercy upon us, and You
are the best of the merciful.”
– 23:109 –

‫عذَابَ َها َكانَ غ ََراما ِإنَّ َها‬ َ َ‫عذ‬

َ ‫اب َج َهنَّ َم ِإ َّن‬ َ ‫عنَّا‬
َ ‫ف‬
ْ ‫ص ِر‬
ْ ‫َربَّنَا ا‬
‫ت ُم ْستَقَ ًّرا َو ُمقَاما‬ ْ ‫سا َء‬َ
“Our Lord, avert from us the punishment of Hell. Indeed, its punishment is
ever adhering; Indeed, it is evil as a settlement and residence.”
– 25:65-66 –
‫ٱجعَ ۡلنَا‬
ۡ ‫َربَّنَا ه َۡب لَنَا ِم ۡن أ َ ۡز َٰ َو ِجنَا َوذُ ِريَّ َٰـتِنَا قُ َّرة َ أ َ ۡعيُ ٖن َو‬
‫ِل ۡل ُمت َّ ِقينَ ِإ َماما‬
“Our Lord, grant us from among our wives and offspring comfort to our eyes
and make us a leader [i.e., example] for the righteous.”
– 25:74 –

ٌ ‫ش ُك‬
‫ور‬ ٌ ُ‫َربَّنَا لَغَف‬
َ ‫ور‬
“Our Lord is Forgiving and Appreciative”
– 35:34 –
ۡ َ‫ت ُك َّل ش َۡي ٖء َّر ۡح َم ٗة َو ِع ۡل ٗما ف‬
ْ‫ٱغ ِف ۡر ِللَّذِينَ تَابُوا‬ َ ۡ‫َربَّنَا َو ِسع‬
‫اب ۡٱل َج ِح ِيم‬
َ َ‫عذ‬ َ ْ‫َوٱتَّبَعُوا‬
َ ‫س ِبيلَ َك َوقِ ِه ۡم‬
“Our Lord, You have encompassed all things in mercy and knowledge, so
forgive those who have repented and followed Your way and protect them
from the punishment of Hellfire.”
– 40:7 –
‫صلَ َح ِم ۡن‬ َ ‫عدت َّ ُه ۡم َو َمن‬ َ ‫ع ۡد ٍن ٱلَّتِي َو‬ َ ‫ت‬ ِ ‫َربَّنَا َوأ َ ۡد ِخ ۡل ُه ۡم َجنَّ َٰـ‬
‫يز ۡٱل َح ِكي ُم َوقِ ِه ُم‬ ُ ‫نت ۡٱلعَ ِز‬ َ َ ‫َءابَائِ ِه ۡم َوأ َ ۡز َٰ َو ِج ِه ۡم َوذُ ِريَّ َٰـتِ ِه ۡم ِإنَّ َك أ‬
‫ت يَ ۡو َمئِ ٖذ فَقَ ۡد َر ِحمۡ ت َ ۥهُ َو َٰذَ ِل َك ُه َو‬
ِ ‫س ِيـَٔا‬ َّ ‫ق ٱل‬ِ َ ‫ت َو َمن ت‬ ِ ‫س ِيـَٔا‬
َّ ‫ٱل‬
‫ۡٱلفَ ۡو ُز ۡٱلعَ ِظي ُم‬
“Our Lord, and admit them to gardens of perpetual residence which You
have promised them and whoever was righteous among their forefathers,
their spouses and their offspring. Indeed, it is You who is the Exalted in
Might, the Wise. And protect them from the evil consequences [of their
deeds]. And he whom You protect from evil consequences that Day – You
will have given him mercy. And that is the great attainment.”
– 40:8-9 –
‫ان َو ََل ت َ ْجعَ ْل‬
ِ ‫اِلي َم‬ َ َ‫َربَّنَا ا ْغ ِف ْر لَنَا َو ِ ِِل ْخ َوا ِننَا الَّذِين‬
ِ ْ ‫سبَقُونَا ِب‬
‫فِي قُلُوبِنَا ِغ ًًّل ِللَّذِينَ َٰا َمنُوا‬
“Our Lord, forgive us and our brothers who preceded us in faith and put not

in our hearts [any] resentment toward those who have believed.”
– 59:10 –

ٞ ‫َربَّنَا ِإنَّ َك َر ُء‬

‫وف َّر ِحي ٌم‬
“Our Lord, indeed You are Kind and Merciful.”
– 59:10 –
‫علَ ۡي َك ت َ َو َّك ۡلنَا َو ِإلَ ۡي َك أَن َۡبنَا َو ِإلَ ۡي َك‬ ٞ ‫َربَّنَا ِإنَّ َك َر ُء‬
َ ‫وف َّربَّنَا‬
‫ير‬
ُ ‫ص‬ ِ ‫ۡٱل َم‬
“Our Lord, upon You we have relied, and to You we have returned, and to
You is the destination.”
– 60:4 –

َ َ ‫ٱغ ِف ۡر لَنَا َربَّن َۖٓا ِإنَّ َك أ‬

‫نت‬ ۡ ‫َربَّنَا ََل ت َ ۡجعَ ۡلنَا فِ ۡتن َٗة ِللَّذِينَ َكفَ ُرواْ َو‬
‫يز ۡٱل َح ِكي ُم‬
ُ ‫ۡٱلعَ ِز‬
“Our Lord, make us not [objects of] torment for the disbelievers and forgive
us, our Lord. Indeed, it is You who is the Exalted in Might, the Wise.”
– 60:5 –

َ ‫ٱغ ِف ۡر لَن َۖٓا ِإنَّ َك‬

ٞ ‫علَ َٰى ُك ِل ش َۡي ٖء قَد‬
‫ِير‬ َ ُ‫َربَّنَا أ َ ۡت ِم ۡم لَنَا ن‬
ۡ ‫ورنَا َو‬
“Our Lord, perfect for us our light and forgive us. Indeed, You are over all
things competent.”
– 66:8 –
