Procedure for attending MantaDigital with a SharpEyeTM Transceiver

This procedure comes into force from 01/01/2012

When attending a MantaDigital radar with sharpeye is it required that the following procedure is done.

1) A) If the display is operational and MantaDigital software is running a Grab-IT MUST be completed,
This allows us to see the condition of the system before any repairs are attempted.

B) If the display is not operational a grab-it must be run as soon as the display is operational.

2) Before leaving the vessel a Grab-IT must be completed again so we can compare software and BITE test information.

These 2 FULL grab-it files must be emailed back to technical.advice@kelvinhughes.com for analysis.

For information on running Grab-IT please refer to TAS 363 issue 7

Grab-IT software is available from the agent’s portal and is regularly updated with improvements;
We recommend that you check the download area for new versions of the Grab-IT software before attending a vessel.

Failure to follow this procedure could result in your invoice for service being rejected.
