WRITING THE INTROCUTION

Deficiencies model:
1. The research problem
2. Studies that have addressed the problem (previously conducted or existing studies)
3. Deficiencies of the study (conflict, gap, kakulangan, part nga wala na cover, blind spots)
4. The importance of the study for an audience
5. The purpose statements (why is your research needed to be conducted?)

T.I.O.C. approach:
1. Trends: what’s the current situation involving your topic (use updated references or citations)
2. Issues: evaluate the current situation, identify the issues (gaps, kakulangan, part nga wala na
cover, blind spots)
3. Objectives
4. Contributions: contribution of your study to the beneficiaries

Inverted Pyramid Approach:


1. General Topic
2. Background information (basic information about your study)
3. What are the major variables in your study?
4. Facts about your topic (present facts)
5. Reason for conducting your research

Criteria for checking:

Adherence to the chosen approach: 15 pts


*2 points deduction for every missing, lacking, incomplete component of the chosen approach
Organization of ideas 5pts
*Are the ideas and presented in a coherent and logical manner?
