ROLES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

OF ASHA
 AYUSHMAN APKE DWAR 3.0
Roles and Responsibilities:
• Community mobilization during the drive and door-to-door campaign
• Support in Ayushman Card creation, ensuring daily target of 100-150 cards
• Undertake beneficiary e-KYC
• Ayushman Card delivery to the beneficiary
• Mapping and listing of beneficiaries’ names to be displayed at health and
wellness centres
 AYUSHMAN SABHA
Roles and Responsibilities:
• Map eligible PMJAY beneficiaries in a Gram/ Nagar Panchayats
• Motivate the community to enroll for Ayushman cards and generate their ABHA IDS
• Mobilize the community to attend the Sabha and foster awareness with the support of
AWW, SHG members, youth club, NGOs, and others
• Ensure the setting up of IEC materials, such as banners and lists of eligible PM-JAY
beneficiaries, beneficiaries of PM-JAY services, and empaneled hospitals at the Sabhas
• Prepare a list of beneficiaries whose Ayushman cards/ABHA IDs got generated in the
Ayushman Sabha, and report the required indicators in the reporting format
 HEALTH MELA
Roles and Responsibilities:
• Create awareness and provide information to the community on determinants of health and the
need for timely utilization of health and family welfare services.
• Inform and mobilize people for Health Mela to avail the services provided at Mela
• Undertake intensive CBAC assessments in a campaign mode prior to and during the
scheduled health melas
• Population Enumeration during Health Mela
• Setting up of IEC materials, such as banners and lists of eligible PM-JAY beneficiaries,
beneficiaries who have PM JAY services, and empanelled hospitals in the area.
 SWACHHATA ABHIYAN
Roles and Responsibilities:
Being the Member Secretary of VHSNC/MAS:
• ASHA shall support in addressing the social determinants of Health, including
water, sanitation, and overall cleanliness of villages or facilities.
• ASHA shall support PRI and ULB members, health teams, VHSNC members,
JAS members and peer educators during cleaning drives at public healthcare
facilities and other places
AYUSHMAN GRAM PANCHAYAT/AYUSHMAN
URBAN WARD
Roles and Responsibilities:
• Being the Member Secretary of VHSNC/MAS, ASHA shall ensure the committees’
participation in social mobilization and community engagement
• For assessment and certification:
§ ASHAs shall submit Ayushman Sabha report to the CHO/ MO of its village/
town.
§ Shall nominate her village/ catchment area to the Gram / Ward with the
supported documents.
 BENEFITS TO ASHA

NHA shall pay

• Rs 5/- for every successful e-KYC
• Rs 3/- for every Ayushman Card delivered to beneficiaries
