Some young people like to copy the behaviour and clothes

of famous people. Why might this be the case? What

problems might it cause?
These days, more and more young people are following
celebrities’ lifestyles. I would argue that there are some
reasons behind this common pattern and problems it
might cause
Some might be obsessed with famous people’s fashion and
personality due to their success and glory. That’s why the
youngsters who yearns desire to succeed in their career
path would idolize and consider them as a standard
frame to copy. However, this could lead to detrimental
effects due to their lack of consciousness of what is called
a perfect model because everyone always has their own
disadvantages. This phenomenon could lead them to turn
a blind eye to someone who is imperfect, even their
parents. They would not consider simple yet valuable
things such as friendship, parents’ love and so on. Take
Korea as an example, the proportion of parents without
care from their children has raised increased/risen in
recent years because of idolizing.
Some consider idolizing as a way to attract people’s
attention. This could lead to financial constraints because
of maintaining an unrealistic extravagant lifestyle. This
generation might even use debit cards or selling their
important properties such as houses and cars, only to
purchase the same expensive things with their idols.
Furthermore, especially students, this could have a
significant impact on their studying. In China, for
example, around 35% of students neglect their lessons,
especially ones in university, to catch up with showtime of
their idols.
In conclusion, the young generation nowadays often
idolize excessively. This trend could cause some
unprecedented problems which need to have appropriate
methods to restrict.
