Female Reproductive System:

Ovaries: The female reproductive organs, located in the pelvic cavity, produce eggs (ova) and female sex
hormones, such as estrogen and progesterone.

Fallopian Tubes: Tubes that transport eggs from the ovaries to the uterus. Fertilization typically occurs in
the fallopian tubes.

Uterus: Also known as the womb, this muscular organ is where a fertilized egg implants and develops
into a fetus during pregnancy.

Cervix: The lower part of the uterus that connects it to the vagina.

Vagina: A muscular, tubular structure that connects the uterus to the external genitalia and serves as the
birth canal during childbirth.

External Genitalia (Vulva): Includes the labia (majora and minora), clitoris, and vaginal opening.

Mammary Glands: Although not directly part of the reproductive system, these glands in the breasts
produce milk for nourishing newborns during breastfeeding.

The male and female reproductive systems work together during sexual intercourse to allow fertilization
and, ultimately, the development of a new individual. Understanding the reproductive system is crucial
for reproduction, family planning, and overall health and well-being.
