members believe the completed sentence is incorrect,
the student must move their counter back to the square
they started on. Some verbs will be used more than once.

help if students do not agree whether a completed
sentence is correct, as well as noting any common errors.
4 Check answers as a class, giving feedback on their
discussions and any common errors.

Adaptation and extension


For weaker groups, ask students to complete the sentences
in pairs before playing the board game.
