Some argue that studying regarding the history is purposeless, while others

object this notion, saying that the past aids people to acquire a proper vision
about the present. My personal perspective is although most of the factual
theory which is related to the history is fabricated, overall, the learning of it
provides a correct guidance and a strong foundation to the prevailing period

On the one hand, some people think that looking back to the past have a faint
function for various reasons. They do not prefer to rely on the history because
they think those stories are truth less. In fact, most of the time, the domain of
this knowledge cannot be proved by adequate physical and scientific evidences
and therefore, people think the junk of the history is either myths or
fabrications which do not grant anything productive to the society First and
foremost, History is a subject that is rarely used daily so it would be better to
focus on science or technology which is more relevant to the future and today’s
society. On the contrary, The education about the past is highly imperative to
owe a proper understanding of the present and the future. In fact, through
following the history, one can not only take many lessons to their lives, by
knowing how and where things went wrong, but also can flourish the dedication
in work by learning about devotions, sacrifices which were done by heroes of
the nation to build up the present. For instance, when applying for a job, what
most companies need is not historical dates or names, but science-related
knowledge. What’smore, each historic event has different perspectives. For this
reason, it makes learning history a waste of time because events can also be
interpreted in a different way which makes what we learn in history less
valuable. On the other hand, I believe that it is worth having profound insights
into history in order to understand the contemporary life. The first reason is
knowing about the past of country will foster a sense of belonging in each
citizen. To demonstrate, by studying how earlier generations fought and made
sacrifices for the freedom of the country, Vietnamese youngsters will appreciate
more the value of the way of life and liberty that they enjoy today. Furthermore,
a study of history provides mankind with an overview of the inter-relationship
of nations and how international historical events, such as the end of
colonialism , have shaped contemporary society.

To sum up, although there are some drawbacks to history role in our present
life, it seems to me that human should have a knowledge of history in order to
understand the world they currently live in.
