standard of mental health services. Our overall health and well-being are influenced by
our mental health. The Office of Guidance and Counseling (OGC) under the College of
Social Sciences and Humanities is dedicated to ensuring mental health is promoted,

 Division of Student Affairs

The Division of Student Affairs of MSU-Main Campus is an integral part of education


and a vital component of human development in the campus. Specifically, the DSA
provides Guidance and Counseling to the students and other constituents. They assist the
students to formulate realistic life goals and make wise choices and decisions; and to
assist students cope with their personal, social, emotional, academic and other problems.

a. Counseling: Assist students to render proper decisions and lay possible


alternatives regarding their academic, social, career and other aspects or concerns.
b. Testing: Provides objective measurement of the clients through administering,
scoring, and interpreting tests, and informs them of the result. Translates the result
through counseling and makes the clients know their strengths and weaknesses.
